My max draw down was 3.19 % by end of friday.

My actual profit as per mt4 is 2 %. by end of friday.

But, surprisingly all numbers are changed to my advantage today with just 1 day to go for darwing creation.

Real black box. ha..ha..

Darwin experts : Can you say why and what could have changed in my trading for this new numbers ?

They adjust their statistics at certain points in time. August might make your task a bit more challenging. I would like to see ur risk ratio after.

You know what...

My trades on friday went against me.

I set stop loss, and it got hot.

I think risk management point of view, the darwin likes setting stop loss.

It is only my guess. Not sure.

Ah, so the risk engine is no longer the "enemy".
Logically, only explanation here, is during your DD your D-Leverage was too high, so the risk engine scaled you back, and the opposite occurred on your profit, so the risk engine scaled you up. Normally, you would see both profit and DD both increase or decrease. Your situation, DD is lower and profit is higher, so this is only explanation I can assume.
This is what I keep trying to explain, the risk engine is there to prevent you from losing too much. Darwin is only looking for 2-2.5% per month.....I think I can do 3-3.5% while still keeping DD under 6.5%. My max DD is 6.13%, it calculates from your HWM, I will never allow more than 3% from my HWM.
Focus on the things that will get you the most AUM...... 2-2.5% monthly, 30-35% annual return, with 3:1 overall profit to max DD......this should yield a significant AUM where 2-2.5% will be extremely rewarding. Darwin is only going to get bigger and better as more props fail........above average traders see the big picture.

I can do monthly 3 to 3.5 % with minimum risk.

I will try out minimal lot size.

It has become like toy to me now

I also believe the longer you are with them, the more stable the risk engine. Mine has been at 1.34 for almost a month. I only trade 1-2 contracts on YM and ES and only 1 on NQ. This is so simple on a 1,000,000 signal account.
Unlike the futures props, where I am scalping and trying to make 200-300 on essentially a 2500 account, it's 10-15% daily as opposed to 0.2% daily on Darwinex

If I may say, that's not risk management. According to N.N. Taleb, there is no such thing as risk management, just vague words. He advocates for learning to take risks that do not cause harm, in other words, avoiding tail risk. Darwinex does not teach how to avoid tail risk but rather to take small risks without limiting the number of trades per day. They should have this in place so that explosive traders can be restricted by maximum drawdown, applied directly during calibration. So, Darwinex's VaR model can still cause damage, and they only limit it after the fact. They're not true risk experts, but they're decent enough. They wait until a trader experiences a significant drawdown, boom, and then they drain him until he has no energy left.

Honestly speaking, I dunno how risk engine evaluates.
There are some guidelines, though. That 6.5 %
And there are few things that i picked up in this forum.
Like never trade more than 2 lots. And try to make 2 to 2.5 %

Darwinex still provides opportunities; it depends on you whether you repeat the same mistakes or continue to do as they expect. They give rewards and punishments after the fact, while the fact itself is a random process that keeps repeating.

On Apex futures account, the time allowed is 7 days to achieve target profit. Is there no time limit or they allow only 7 days?

I just explained how the internet prop system works. It's pretty simple. Props is like a machine where you drop coins and if you get positive results you receive coins. Either you accept it or go and drop your coins elsewhere.

Real trading statistics are not applied to props because this is not real trading and odds are different due to the nature of their model.

In other words, in props you don't even need to beat the market. You just need to beat the guys who are playing in the same machine (prop) than you because they are the ones that will pay you.

It's like playing poker in a table where you are the best of the table. You can still make money even if you are not a great player. You just need to be better than the remaining ones.

I'm confident in your trading skills, so wouldn't it be easier to trade in a way that feels natural to you, rather than constantly trying to anticipate what Darwinex might 'expect'? After all, trading is a long game, and to succeed, you need to be fluent and confident in your own approach.

I don't think that's a fitting example either. In poker, luck is the same for every player regardless of their skills, a little bit different if u have so much capital. In trading, you need to have both and much much more variances. But I think we'll leave it at that. In general, we already have a bit of knowledge about how prop firms work. Thanks.

the a-book b-book conversation is very boring. If props a-book there are no props if props b-book retail customers think the world is against them. If retail prop can eliminate the gamification of the prop there is no reason to a-book anyone because statistically it will be profitable.

I know we already talked about this but:

 

  1. FTMO generated a turnover of almost CZK 5 billion (over $213 million) in 2023. The figure jumped 20 percent from the previous year’s CZK 4 billion (about $170 million) in turnover.
  2. The EBITDA of the company also reached nearly $100 million.
  3. Furthermore, the number of open trading accounts with the Czech company reached more than 2.3 million in 2024, which is 33 percent higher year-over-year.
  4. Regarding payouts to prop traders, the company highlighted that it paid 80 percent more money to its traders in the first seven months of 2024 than in the same period last year

Im sorry for US traders but thats the playground now. 80% potentially 90% performance fee to the other Brand of Darwins 15% as industry standard.
While we see further consolidation on the props; we see FTMO getting stronger and stronger in my view. Only one who could actually bring capital to the table when regulation kicks in in 17 years time.
