Assumption on trend dead wrong, but still made money

Think about trading multiple positions - 2/3 units etc, offload units to cash in profit, move stop to break even

It does dilute profits when the trend is your friend!, but as you can see when the market isn't working to your requirements, it can be quite a handy tool to use

Use whatever % levels suit you

The Blue line = 1 x risk = sell 25%
The Pink line = 1.75 x risk etc = sell 25%

Stop to breakeven when targets hit

There's no right or wrong with this - I sometimes don't use it, sometimes I just trade 2 units - this totally depends on whether there's prior terminal swing highs/lows near current levels as there were today

Looks good so far. 2450$ and 2435$ - 2430$ are the targets I have in mind. Then, I don't know. Have to see if these Support levels will hold or not.

agree with you with extending it a bit further to 2428, if taken out in 1hr & 4 hr then next stop for bulls will be around 2300

This is going down. Ain't no way market will reverse again after such a dramatic refusal, massive outside bar (both 4H AND daily) candle with both HH and LL printed. As someone here mentioned, price probably needs again to come to below 2400 to reload for longs as it has done already 2 times recently. I think the $2500 top is soo obvious that the price won't reach it anytime soon.

H4 Potential consolidation
I am not saying this is formed yet but if it ends like this I am happy still with longs project.

If the Triple Top is going to be breached, price should come down a bit more and then resume its attack

This potential consolidation megaphone pattern is ok from the Bfly sell perspective and we know if it breaks down something is not right with that same perspective.

At this point gold longs still seem the way to go, nothing on the daily is giving me bear vibes yet. I might change my mind in 15 minutes when this hourly closes but for now im still bias long.

This is no better nor worse than the ones I post of the 1 min chart.
A lot of play allowed inside and breakouts traded the same way, targets also calculated the same way.
