this is also a painfully conflicting argument for me internally, because I am, in my blood, a lefty… but, you ain’t no use to anyone skint, you can do good with the money & one day, perhaps, we’ll all be involved in the system changing. But at least for now, we can’t argue with it.

if “Larry Fink” announcing he’s going to rebuild Ukraine and Blackrock being some of the biggest investors in worldwide weapons / arms / defence doesn’t make you ask questions. You’re still sat in your echo chamber.

You compare two uncomparable numbers.

The first number (value of AUM) is a total market value of those assets, which can't be translated as real liquid (money) value. It's the marketcap of those companies, same as bitcoin having 1.2$ trillion. Do you think bitcoin is worth half of all USD? Do you think that if every bitcoin owner decided to sell, they would together get 1.2 trillion? Nope, they would not. Same with AUM value.

The second number (currency in circulation) refers to notes, coins, or any other physical forms of money that are used in transactions between buyers and sellers. That means, total value of all banknotes and coins, not total value of all issued money.

The real second number is M2 money supply (M3 is not being reported since 2006), which stands at 21 trillion.

yes you are right. USA and china have more than the 10.2 trillion $ assets under mgmt (hence my - black rock are third), if they liquidate their assets then they have a great deal of cash & even still a great deal to manipulate gold. They manipulate everything.

black rock have $10.2 trillion dollars in assets under mgmt, of which they can invest as they like (within protocol - which for black rock isn’t very restricting).

my point being, they know & understand the craic before it’s happened, they will use their dollars to make as
much as possible & have huge amounts of control over many aspects of the financial & governmental systems.

money rules the roost. Sad state of affairs but it is what it is.

If the hysteria is large over the weekend, the drops continue, if not we will see the 2540/2560 area imo at which point load the shorts / puts for the medium term.

You are again wrong. It is the market cap, it's not like they have 10.2 trillion in a bank account. Actually, their Cash on Hand as of March 2024 (=what they have on their bank accounts): $11.05 B. That's less than one Elon Musk paid in taxes a year or two ago.

I didn’t say I did. But I also know that if I had $10.2T and knew there was a war coming, or at least the fear of it, how I would play it to “make the most amount of money”- that is after all, all they care about.

and that is the point of why (imo) gold dropped today.

funnily enough I had a similar argument with a chap (delta1) on these forums back in jan 2020 before the big Covid drops, he had a similar spin, possibly lost the plot in the process as he “sold all his family’s gold to buy the Dow” just before the big ass drop to 19000.

not saying that’s happening again, but I don’t post often.

Worked for a trading desk for over 10 years. When they release something this expect the fish to bite.
Big selloffs like this is not our pop and mom selling.

Their previous projection was even higher at $2700 They must have adjusted it lower to $2600, so it would be stupid bait in case.
The price was about to test the peak. Participants, regardless of size will react more dramatically on every retest. It could also jump up, what matters is how participants react on the situation.
