Apex $50k account is $187 (without discount) plus lifetime fee $160 = $347, so $100K accounts will be $694. just simple maths but you might not understand.

Exactly With around 200 or 300 USD, you can get a 50k account. For example, if you pass 1 step challenge, you can achieve 10% in one win, which is around 5k, so the profit is about 4.7k to 4.8k. I saw Uncle Monty trading with 20 lots in one position. If it hits just 50 points, 10% is possible, assume forex pip, say $10 per pip. Dunno about future contracts.

Also, they say futures trading is easier compared to FX trading

I hope all is well with you & your family. I rarely post here anymore & never really posted much, but I do occasionally follow along with what 3 or 4 of you guys are doing & you are one that I read your post. Months ago, you seemed to be in a very down frame of mind with your trading & maybe life in general, but when I read the above referenced post, I detected a difference in your outlook going forward & I wanted to say congratulations on your change of mind & the apparent higher level of self-confidence you are now displaying. I wish you the best in the times ahead. May I suggest once you have accumulated a substantial amount of funds from you prop trading you continue trading you own funds using whatever method that worked for you trading the prop way. Then you can call your own shots without the pressures of prop firm rules. In mho it is just a matter of time before the prop business forex & futures is regulated out of business, or self-destructs. Just my views, but I see signs of the coming collapse. For me trading the futures market has been a much better way to trade with less stress & no worries amount whether I will be paid on time or @ all. Not willing to recommend a futures broker, but there are several good ones out there & one trader on this forum that I do admire for his apparent trading skills does mention his broker from time to time.

Genuine007 these are just my views & nothing more & is not to be understood as advice. Best of trades to you in the future. Keep charging ahead.

Hi navk,

The above in the very reason I abandoned FX. I still have a demo account that I play with, but my money in now fully in the futures market.
The software learning curve was a bit challenging, but it all came together eventually. I do follow your post & find them enlightening.

I don't understand the futures market. Regarding prop firms, it's pretty much the same. For those who are specialists with the rules and have the skills to make a profit, good self-control, enough luck, consistency, and sufficient funds to buy accounts, they keep trying. For those who haven't been able to be consistent and still have issues in trading, Darwinex can be a good controlling tool.

In prop firms, there is no guarantee of payment, as their source of capital is not disclosed in terms of amount and origin. In Darwinex or Axi, they might have secured sufficient capital to distribute to selected traders and have access to a network of investors.

You cannot be completely sure about the evidences presented for all prop firms. For Axi, I haven't seen its track record either, but for Darwinex, they have a robust trade history validation tool or track records.

Yeah definitely, trading personal account is much better than trading prop firm accounts when we talk about rules:
like drawdown, trailing drawdown, news rules, consistency rules, fixed lot size rule etc etc all these restrict us from maximum utilization of our strategy.
I will start my personal account very soon when I gather funds like 1,000 $. This will be enough as a starting balance.
If my strategy worked out and I withdraw nothing or very less for meeting expenses only.
Then just these 1,000 $ can be converted into 1,00,000 $ without any doubt. We can capitalize on the profits we make in personal account.
We just need a broker in which we can put our trust on.

My first 1,00,000 $ is very important. After that my growth will be sky rocketed.
I will later use at least 10 different brokers with 1,000 $ each & Just do copy trading either manually or by using online available copy trading websites.
This way my whole eggs will not be in the same basket although I will do same trades in all the accounts.

I have seen very hard time in my life, soon my life is going to be changed and my goods days are almost coming.
I will be jacked, healthy, wealthy & wise. I will achieve all those things back which I have lost in pursuit of becoming trader.
I have lost not just wealth [55,000 $],
I have also lost my health, my time, opportunity experience & income which I could have earned if doing something else other than trading.
I have gone through depression, mental trauma, bad relations with the family, fights, self doubt etc etc

Futures trading was a challenge with regards to learning the software involved. After becoming familiar with the software, the process of trading futures became much easier. Left FX mainly because of the unreliable brokers & too many restrictive rules dealing with prop firms. Their rules are in my opinion are to benefit the said firms. Future trading for me is a much smoother way to trade & so far, the broker can be trusted.

Why I cannot join FTMO or why it does not make sense for me as German trader ?

Reason: Taxes.
Euler Figure is 2.71828. So for 10% and 5% target on 10% max. DD for challenge with a tag of 1080 Euro on a 200k account at FTMO,
it is equivalent of €1080*(e^(1.5))= €1080*(2.71828^(1.5))=€1080*4.48=€4840. So I am funded now and I target 10% as goal here.
So it then equivalent of €4840*e^(1)=€4840*2.71828=€13155 before taxes, which is 26.4% for personal accounts profits in Germany,
so net after taxes I gained €9682.

On a 10% profit on 200k funded I recieve 80% of that with FTMO, which is $16000 or in Euro €14737. Now I need to pay sales or turnover taxes because FTMO is in EU located. So I need to deduct 19% first, and then 42% for income taxes. So I have in the end after taxes here: €6923, which is much lower than personal trading.

So if I trade on personal account versus FTMO account I have 40% more profits with trading on personal account and compound all profits there.

Even I disregard any taxes the difference before taxes is €13155 on personal account versus €14137 trading on funded prop account on a 200k FTMO.
So I have just 7.5% more profits on funded accounts. But I have all the rules which are not reflected here in those numbers. And for all other props, except a few,
the payout safety where I can guaranteed a payout is far less than 100% and I have usually much more rules I need to take care of. So basically from a trading point, it does not make really sense to trade on funded prop account versus just focus on trading personal broker accounts. Whereas the whole story is different if you cheat and reverse hedge any trades on prop accounts with your personal broker account. Then you can make a guaranteed kind of profit, with no trading ability required at all.

Nope it is not easy. It has illusion of being cheap and prop traders doesn't have any option to switch.
So lot of people switch because of lack of genuine option.
For example 50K evaluation cost will around 30-50$ depending on prop firms but passing is 5 times tougher than forex firms due to trailing drawdown.
Once passed you need to pay 150$ more which totals around 200$. Than again you have to pass evaluation and make equal amount as allowed drawdown.
So futures prop firm is basically 2 step challenge with trailing drawdown. In futures trailing drawdown means unrealized P&L not like forex where they calculate based on balance. In futures it is equity based.
Futures have great spreads if one is trading CFD but platform really sucks. MT4 is 1000000000000000000% more stable and reliable than so called tradovate or ninja

Only edge in futures prop firm is having multiple accounts and more people failing so house has edge.

I always used toto say here to go with reputed fx prop firms like FTMO, FXIFY atleast.

Trading with fx brokers is for long term, IMO
