I'm surprised. I knew (as we all do) that your intellect and experience were not quite in the top league, but I still didn't quite appreciate that you had no idea what "scalping" means. If you want to learn something (there's always a first time?!), intraday trading is not all "scalping".

It's just impossible trying to have any meaningful conversation with you at all.

I have this feeling, KarlKraus posts this crap, specifically, because he likes to be abused. It is a sickness that originated with internet. Perhaps, there is 1-800 number that can help. There are few more here that can benefit from consultation.

So, earlier in the week I paid $149 for a TopStep 150K Combine. Yesterday I passed it, and then paid an additional $149 to activate the Sim Funded account. Traded on the sim funded account today, bla bla bla. Ended day up $1500.

Just now I got the following "refund granted" email from TopStep. WTF? Do they refund the Combine fee or somethin' ??...

Yes they do. I got a refund too on the evalution entry fee
But I think they will stop that practice after 7/31 if I remember the email they sent a week ago.

Poor risk management from me ..... Revenge trading ... forcing myself to make profit in order to payout this cycle..... Lost ONE FUNDED account today (NQ killed me today 7 losses in a row)..... god damn i am so stupid..... ONE left which has a pending payout (even lost 1k in there)....

This weekend time to re plan.... Last few weeks i am doing alot of stupid stuff.... to many failed evals on APEx... risking like crazy...... Need to re-strategize going away from my Goals....

So I am going to take a break from APex (all these rules n trailing getting into my head) and go with some EOD drawdown evals from topstep 5x50k and 3x50 myfundedfutures........

Think I'm about to get screwed by Ascendx. Waiting for my payout for over a week after they announced a blanket ban on Malaysia and Singapore.

Trader BATO

Here is a brief description of Trader BATO, currently ranked #1 out of 7296 Silver Traders on Darwinex. BATO opened an account on Darwinex at least in February 2024, then entered the calibration phase somewhere in Feb or Mar 2024, and in April participated in Darwinia Silver. The return statistics have been calculated since April 17 or 18, 2024, which is when BATO first (successfull) attempt of Silver Trader Test. No so sure what BATO Creation Date is.

The drawdown statistics are also calculated from when BATO first experienced a max drawdown of -2.23% on May 2, 2024. The statement in the performance section that the drawdown was -2.23% since February 1, 2024, is not accurate, drawdown is calculated since April 22, 2024. BATO's performance rating when he succeeded in Darwinia is included in the overall performance statistics.

BATO is now managing 440k Euro of investor funds, with current rating 97.44, 6 months have passed since the calibration phase, Darwinia Silver Test, the first 3-month allocation phase, and continuing until now, with a cumulative return of 30.38% all-time and an all-time drawdown of -2.23%.

Assuming a cost of 38 Euro per month without any discount, the total amount BATO has spent on Darwinex is 228 Euro.

The 440K is all allocation money from Darwinex. No investor funds until he reaches Gold level which I think is a minimum of 8 months.

So if he finishes July at 5% he'll receive roughly $3300. I guess he can afford the $38

If he strings together a few more months at 3% a month investors will be throwing money at him

I still don't understand many things about Darwinex. Is the calibration performance included in the total performance calculation, or is it only the performance when successfully obtaining allocation eg for Silver or Gold Test? I thought only the successful Silver or Gold Test performance is included in the overall statistics. Is that correct?

For the past seven days, I've been experimenting with high risk trades (which is not part of my trading system rules) resulting in a max drawdown of -6.47%. I need to turn the loss into a profit of +3.29% while maintaining that drawdown level to achieve a rating of 75. I thought only the Silver Phase was recorded. The only way to deal with high drawdown is to restart so the track record looks good, though it will take more time and increase the cost by 38 Euros.

I think it has to because the engine will ultimately determine your position size anyways.

Finally getting a grasp on how the engine works and how the overall funding model works makes it clear for me that I need to trade way smaller. IMO, 2-3 lots exposure on the forex account is too much for me. One lot, 20 pips a day = 1% per week is a much better plan

Having said that my trading mentality is schizoprenic.

Darwinex uses Value at Risk (VaR), which is a Mediocristan statistic that quantifies the extent of possible financial losses within a firm, portfolio, or position over a specific time frame.
