Hi Best

5M chart
try to set a range between 09:00 to 09:15 ( red vertical lines / light blue rectangle)
but indicator calculates the low from 09:00 to 09:50 (blue vertical line / light gray rectangle ) ?

If you close up, you will see the LuxAlgo envelopes (white under red and yellow under blue).

PS. If anybody can get the LuxAlgo Nadaraya-Watson Envelopes source code (mq4 or mq5) that would solve another problem.
Unfortunatelly, iCustom() creates error "cannot set timer(30)" and this makes my scanner stop working.
Applying the alerts to a multi-symbol scanner is the next step.
And, we cannot use the file provided by @lukgoku for the scanner.
A multi-symbol scanner can not handle this method.

Due to the nature of the plotted lines, this is the best I can do:
So, we have Strong Arrows and Weak Arrows.
The default input settings:

correspond to the default LuxAlgo Naradaya-Watson Envelopes settings.
However, due to the above mentioned complications, the data indicator is:

This indicator should be as is, and the name can not be changed, because if changed, our main indicator will not be able to get the data.
Also, it's not advisable to use this tweaked indicator on it's own.

This indicator plots what we want to see, and also manages the arrows and alerts.

Do not change the file name!!!

A bit of more advanced explanation:
The Nadaraya-Watson_Envelope_5D_v2.1.ex4 indicator is the file provided by @lukgoku and specially tweaked to co-operate with NWEst_LuxAlgo_Env_BTEv_Alerts_Extras.ex4. The plotted lines are actually small trendlines plotted from bar to bar, and that's why we cannot change them to be visualised as one solid line (they already are solid lines). We can only change their color and width. In order to achieve a different picture, the Nadaraya-Watson_Envelope_5D_v2.1.ex4 would require a very major rebuild, and that would require much more time.
At this moment we have what we have.
The arrow buffers are as follows:

5 is Buy Strong
6 is Sell Strong
7 is Buy Weak
8 is Sell Weak

Of course, the signal alone can be good, or not in the context of where we would place our StopLoss.
However, adding just a few other filter points to our strategy can produce a powerfull system.

And finally, this may not work for every type of market, so know your market, first!

Hi guys i found this indicator right here on forex factory, with the write settings it can predict turning points. i need help with it though. i want it to show buy and sell arrows on the screen when it crosses a specified level.. it only shows alert when it crosses the levels i set but an arrow displayed on the chart is quite better. thank you in advance

Hi, novice member here. not sure if im in the right forum, if not please let me know.

I am trying to create a hedging EA for my specific needs, but cant figure out the right formula, so i was wondering if anybody could help.

I want to inversely copy trade between accounts so that if I gain/lose x Percent in Account1, I would lose/gain a specific amount in absolute dollars in Account2.

for example:
I want to gain/lose 400$ when I lose/gain 10% of my 5000$ account.

I initially thought it would be as easy as setting the lot size multiplier to 0.8, but that only works if the first position reaches the 10% threshold in one trade. if it takes several trades and goes back and forth, the hedge (especially with different slippages) goes off by quite a significant margin (I've experienced ~40%).
so i figured I need to do dynamic hedging and re-calculate each time after a position is closed what size to take.... but cant figure out the formula.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks, but we already have that.
That's the one @lukgoku posted yesterday.
It requires a major rebuild, and I don't like that type of jobs.
You see, coders don't like such jobs at all.
It is much easier to add our own codes to what already exists, then to fix other's mess.

That's because this indicator works for H1.
IOW, the idea was to plot H1 zones for trading in the context of a breakout in the day.

C'mon! This is so basic-simple!
1. Go with the trend,
2. Buy on blue,
3. Sell on red.
Obviously, it's better to go with the trend, and ignore the counter signals.
Learn to detect possible sideways as soon as possible.
Pay atennetion to the Spread/Volatility plus Freeze and/or Stop Levels.

For example:
Pink is Spread, and yellow are StopLevels (minimal distances for TP/SL).
So, as you see in the image, there is no sense to trade this instrument on M15.

Basically, in such conditions W1 is the minimum Tf to trade.

So, if you want to trade M15 and lower, you need a good Spread/Volatility ratio.

And also pay attention to the size of the signal candle.
If it's too big, that's a run-away train.
Don't chase it - there will be another one.

The biggest challange is to be there when it happens.
Otherwise we just keep missing the opportunities.

BTW, these envelopes also behave a bit like Bollinger Bands in the sense that they get wider when the market is going sideways, and the get narrow when the trend is strong.

Yes exactly, instruments like DAX. M15 and M5.

The way lukogo had explained the strategy was completely counter trend, after the close of candle outside band, and then enter on the opposite color candle closed.

Hi Hashzar,
all true, it's fine with indicies but only in trend, even crypto but practice first in demo and try to understand the advice of BestTraderEV, and no, forget the lowest TF starts from 15M up, especially if you do not know very well and I say very well all the talk behind. Here we are talking about market inefficiencies to exploit on the trend, if you put yourself on the 5m you risk misinterpreting the primary trend.
