FTMO have started playing games quite some time ago. As it gets more common its inevitable we will see it here. Becareful not to dox your account.

Some youtube videos say their ftmo swing accounts leverage was reduced to 1:5 .

You have 400K allocation, and it seems that you can make 10% or more per month. You are a huge liability to FTMO.

Found it. When you buy a challenge and you click on it, you'll see the discord symbol on the top right.

I have received the same questionnaire from FTMO over a year ago. (Way before the MFF saga would begin.) It's called maximum capital allocation questionaire and never got any trouble from it but I also don't trade like a degenerate so I haven't deviated from those answers.
It's worrying that half-truths become gospel in this thread though. FTMO sends an email with this questionaire explaining that it is specifically for the full allocation, someone fails to clarify this and suddenly the sky is falling... Or FTMO is now denying payouts to a guy who trades 100+ lots and gets lucky.
From what I see FTMO is still working business as usual when you don't overleverage and don't try to hit the lottery. Dozens of 5-6 figure payouts add up to way more than one huge denied one.

No it wasn't reduced. Some people have been reduced to 1:5 usually when they are basically gambling and putting in huge lots and getting lucky sometimes. Other than that, there have been no problems that I have seen with FTMO they are paying as usual and there are a lot of 5 figure payouts people are showing in their profit split section of discord.

Do you see the contradiction ? Providing 1:100 leverage and them claiming that people got lucky.

1:100 is in fact 1:1000 because they provide purchase power of 10.000.000 over a DD of 10.000.

They can't have these conditions and then blaming that some people to "got lucky".

Just seen a denied funded account from Funded Engineer. The leverage was around 1:10 used for trading Gold, which was swing trade and then 300k got passed. Clearly not the fault from the trader, this cannot be classified as gambling. Idk what, but this FE prop seems odd now. Any other stories from this or other props here ?

I hate those unkown hidden rules. You either get your leverage reduced a lot or you get no payout but only a refund. But this is already a loss, if you passed it means you flipped the account once and then you only get your money back. It seems this is the new standard for props. It is nearly as bad as denying payouts without refund.

The problem with forced deleveraging is that it harms only scalping traders who have 5-ish pips as SL and want to risk 2% per trade. They are affected only. For me 1:15 leverage is plenty more than enough. But if I pass in 1 or 2 trades I do not want to be considered as gambler and denied a funded account or a payout. That is not a good development. It is only there to reduce payouts for the prop as considered bad for them. But for swing traders they still can make same payouts as before. So what is the solution then for those ? Swing traders are not punished with deleveraging as they are not affected at all. It seems bit ridiculous and not well thought to me.

And one question, how do they measure 2% risk per trade when they do not measure realtime equity and no SL are required ? You could have a larger SL and then change the SL after trailing on profits. Then it always looks like almost no risk. Otherwise they must look on each trade (per hand?) if it was below 2% equity meantime.

Im more in it for the longterm unlike how most here view prop firms.

Im surprised to see that Apex is still around, they carved through the futures prop firm industry like butter with their discounts so cannot complain too much about them. They forced Topstep and the others to adapt with better rules to survive. Question is when we reach peak futures prop firms as well. Guess the bubble is coming now.
