DislikedI think the industry is in a futile state where the traders will not accept what is necessary to make it last long termIgnored
Traders will not accept anything less-than, so long as something better exists. Something better will always exist, because these prop firms are being operated by young and inexperienced people that do not know any better and are unwilling/unable to employ the necessary changes that are required in order to migrate away from the payout-denial solution that we are currently seeing across the board, where the enforcement of unwritten rules plagues the entire space and where cheaters continue to run rampant on systems that have little-to-no deterrence mechanisms.
Several things need to happen, but unless everyone is on board and willing/able to make the necessary changes, then the firms that position themselves properly, for long-term success, will likely never have any meaningful chance to grow since the majority are too stupid and/or too stubborn to change.
I did not care much for the Apex model, initially. But after running some tests and a little bit of learning, it is not really bad at all. Their numbers look really good, and their offering is fair and reasonable. I do not know if they have the same kind of problems that fx props have with regard to cheaters, but it's probably minimal considering how the rules are structured. Perhaps something can be learned here, but it may not serve this space in any positive way if the majority are not willing/able to adapt.
