hiya,

I have what I hope will be a simple request.

I use the halftrend indicator sometimes and depending on where the arrow happens I determine the strength of the trend using some other indicators.

Anyway, this indicator draws arrows. I want an alert when an arrow happens *when the arrow is literally touching a price bar* (the current bar or the prior bar I guess? Or even any bar?!)

If it matters, i'll be using it with the arrows on their smallest current setting (of '1' in the input settings)

In an ideal world i'd be able to have my own custom audio alert (even if that means I don't get a popup which I don't really care about anyway)

I don't think that you will find anybody who does pinescript coding on this thread.
As far as I can tell, we do MQL4 and MQL5 here.
It is a different thing to code from pinescript to MQL, than to code from MQL to pinescript.
Coding from pinescript to MQL usually only requires us to understand the idea presented in pinescript.
And, TradingView came much later than MT4, so most if not all ideas found on TradingView have already been coded in MQL4 before.

BTW:
Binary Code Indicator is RaitisCyFilter is a renamed (decompiled) clone copy of Mladen's "high low jurik smoothed channel".

Anyways, there are a lot of Jurik -type indicators on TradingView, already, even if the visuals are different.
So, look around in TradingView.

Well, it's basically the same idea!
Just translate your pips to money, and use the one from EarnForex that I gave you the link to.
If your RefProfit = $200 is X points, then your BEPlusProfit = $100 is X/2 points.
Or: TSProfitPoints = X / (RefProfit / BEPlusProfit);

If you wonder why coders don't do EA requests as often as fixes and modifications to indicators, I will explain:
- It takes much more time to test out the EA to make sure everything is working properly.
- EA presents a much more "ethical" problem - people's money is at stake!
- You must present an EA idea that the coder must feel as worth taking the time to code, if the coder is doing it for free.

Your request does not meet any of the points.

There is no such thing as you are describing.
You have seen something which doesn't mean anything.
I will explain further in a moment...
The arrows in your indicator are plotted by buffers.
I explained how that works in an earlier post (you must find it on your own).
Normally these arrows are plotted in such a way that they overlay the Bar a bit.
That's why coders often use ATR to plot those arrows at some distance from the Bar.
So, if like in your image, the arrows are sometimes further away, sometimes closer, this represents the local ATR.
Your indicator calculates ATR like this:

      atr=iATR(Symbol(),0,100,i)/2;
Which means that it reads ATR of 100 Bars from the Bar Index (i).
Then it plots the arrows at a distance of +/- 2*atr.
(Which, btw, makes little sense to divide by 2 and then multiply by 2...)
So, what does it mean when the arrow touches or overlaps the Bar?
It just means that the local ATR (volatility) was lower.
So, we could apply an ATR filter to alerts.
However, in reality you will not find many situations like the one shown in your image.

Anyways, I have coded such a filter, so you can use it, or not, and see what the results will be.
And I have provided the option to use a custom sound file, too.

Any indicator is "excellent" provided the trader understands what it is indicating, and provided the trader has a method how to use it to their advantage. Otherwise, it's just another indicator which is useless without the trader knowing when to enter and when to exit - independent of what the indicator is indicating.
Which, in turn, makes it circular, thus the indicator is in fact useless.

Hello Best please can you gimme a minute edu. on best moment to open a trade on a weekly candle chart there are indicators that says ....time to trade.., but has no accuracy backing up the move . Thanks

BTW, where do you get indicators which say "time to trade"???
I don't know any such indicators...
As far as I'm aware, indicators - all indicators - say: "here is a signal which I calculated by my formula from historical data".
It never says "time to trade", or "not time to trade".
