DislikedI primarily trade Indices. Can you recommend prop firms that offer Futures?Ignored
Disliked{quote} The three best, most reliable and most honest (by far) are TradeDay, Topstep and Earn2Trade. The one to keep away from is Apex.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Why would that be? If I use the 3 mentioned COMBINED, I still cannot trade half as many accounts as apex.......apex pays out a ton twice a month without issue, there are no denials or issues whatsoever.Ignored
Disliked{quote} 50K, is, by far, the best value as far as DD to target. I use rithmic as opposed to tradovate. The key is the copying of multiple accounts. You trade 1 account, my goal is $200/day, copied accross 20. I do not recommend that initially until you conquer the trailing DD.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Because Apex is the biggest competitor of the firm Karl works for.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I think tradovate is the way going forward for me. Coz i am a mac user and apex website says ninja n other Are not available directly on mac. Yesterday saw some basic apex videos. Monday will purchase some 50k account n see how it goes. I am planning for 2-3 accounts in first go to test the copier as well… Any tips or things to keep in mindIgnored
Disliked{quote} The big difference, of course, is the trail. Hit a goal of say $200-$300 per day and close as close to the peak as possible.......shut her down for the day. This is the power of the copying, you are only shooting for a couple hundred a day trading just one account. After you master it, you can create groups, maybe some accounts are more aggressive. As a trade moves into profit, trail the stop with it. You'll figure it out once you get the "feel" for it. Once live and securing a profit of $2,600, DD becomes static at $50,100....you are then...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks Bro....I need to look more into trailing DD. Does it count once the trade closes or Moves with open trades..Ignored
Disliked{quote} It is based on unrealized equity. So if your trade is open and unrealized gain is 100$ your drawdown moves to 100+Ignored
Disliked{quote} thanks... thats gonna be a real challenge for me. I just just open a trade with tp and sl then if the trades moves a bit in my direction i move tp to breakevn. So 6 out of 10 my breakeven tp hit. That way i'll violate my max drawdown without even losingIgnored
Disliked{quote} Yes, that is why I say grab all of the small profits. I blew a few of these initially....I'd be up like $1,500 on a trade and it would come back....oops now I have 41,00 DD instead of $2,500.......you'll figure it out though. Trade micros....I go 4 micros on dow, 2 on nas and 3 on S&P.....$2/pt, $4/pt and $15/pt, respectively. It's a slower grind than what you are accustomed to, it'll take 10-15 trading days. Alternatively, you can go in with the approach that you're going to blow a bunch and be more aggresive.Ignored
Disliked{quote} thanks. Dow is my Boy. As a GRAND MASTER ACCOUNT BLOWER right next to @expo my duty is to start my futures journey by a BS risk managemnt on first accounts. . I'll try a homerun trade on monday on DOW (which is long trade for me not a advice) either My way or margin callIgnored
DislikedIt won't be long till we can assume that its safe to buy evaluation prop challenge mega millions again. Give it a few weeks, we will know. For US - maybe need to wait longer. When the time is right, I will jump in and keep informed here. Most likely first stop will be FTMO once again.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hate to be pessimistic, but I do not believe the US will ever have forex prop firms again. I hope I am surprised.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hate to be pessimistic, but I do not believe the US will ever have forex prop firms again. I hope I am surprised.Ignored
Disliked{quote} I believe this will extend to futures prop firms too. I am getting same vibe MyFF used to get for APEX.Ignored
