The effect is the same.

I think the question is not "why hide them?", but rather "why not place them?".
There are good reasons for not sending the requests to the broker's server.

Thanks Man. This indicator is superb. But i am not exactly looking for FIBO level indicator. This is +point that you shared.

I am looking for an indicator in which we set a time interval and it draw small line on high and low on the particular 5 min or 15 min or 30 min or 1 hr time period.

The one I am using now is ACD indicator.

But it draws a very big line. I want something that draws a small line.

In this case it's better to use a script (Scripts folder).
You just drag&drop the script onto a chosen candle.

The ACD indicator is not good for your purpose.

Hi Coders. I wonder if somebody can be so kind and assist me with a code for entries for the following strategy (Magic 100) please https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/989445-magic-100. I can take it from there and write my EA to test the strategy. I am just not good enough to know how to code the entries logic. I appreciate there are EAs provided by various people on the thread, but they are all .ex4 files, so I can't see the coding. Thank you. For clarity of what I am after:

Buy: Price is above the 100EMA, place a buy stop order above the red candle. Stop is under the red candle.

Sell: Price is under the 100EMA, place a sell order under the green candle. Stop is above the green candle.

Basically, set a pending order at the high of the last retracement candle (red) and a stop loss beneath the low of the same candle on a long trade (if uptrend - price above 100ema). If more candles (red) form lower after that candle, then move the pending buy and stop to that new candle. Vice versa for a downtrend - price below 100ema, set pending sell order at low of last retracement candle (green) and stop loss above the high, and if more candles(green) form higher after that candle, move the pending sell and stop to the new candle.

So, you realize that in the example on the image you need to get 3 SL's in the row before you get one good trade?

BTW, I will pay you any ammount of money for an indicator or code that knows which candle is the last in a retracement...

Plase help me build indicator or Expert Advisor, that will help forward all pop-up alert with screenshot from MetaTrader 4 to Telegram channel/ group, also forward all notifications to Telegram?
Example: When indicators generated pop-up alert, this indicator/ea can capture chart and sent to telegram with caption is pop-up text.

I can't help you with that because I have never done that before, I do not use Telegram, I am not interested, and I am strongly opposed to giving signals to other people when it comes to issues connected with investing money!
In the minimum, You need an investment advisor license, legally.
But in reality, I am even strongly opposed to giving any financial and investment advice, even the legal one!
And I consider any type of trading signals a type of investment advice.

This means that "extern" is not allowed in MQL5.
We must use "input".

Hi BestTraderEV, one does not know which candle is the last candle in the retracement and that is not what one is after or the point, else that would indeed be the 'holy grail'

The idea is just to place pending orders after candle changes in colour, and continue doing this until an actual retracement occurs. Example, using a 4H chart, the trend is up (price above 100EMA) and you are getting green candles (going up). The first time you get an opposite candle (red candle), you place a buy stop at high of the red candle and stop loss at low of the red candle. One of three things will happen (1) Price retraces, breaks the high (triggering an order) and continues higher into a profit target. (2) Price retraces, breaks the high (triggering an order) and then reverses and hit your stop loss. (3) Price does not retrace at all, and continues downwards forming more red candles, and you continue to move the buy stop and stop loss to each new red candle.

So, you are not predicting a retracement, you are just placing trades with the idea that if it does not work (not an actual retracement), the order either does not get triggered or you get stopped out wit a small loss, but if it did actually retrace, you get a big enough move to cover the losses and some. You can read the thread properly to understand the strategy. Thanks.

*PS. By the way, in your image, the SL (stop losses) were not hit as no trade would have been triggered for the first 2 SLs (i.e. price never touched or broke the high of the red candles)

And that will never work.
I mean, that it will work when the trend is strong, but you will lose all the profit in a sideways market.
You don't need to "teach" me about basic stuff like this!
And, the code for such an entry is also the most basic stuff in coding.
I hope that you know how to get Open[1] & Close[1] in order to get the candle direction?

In reality, I can show you a common situation where you will get 7 SL's in the row, and the "good" trade will not make you any money. And you will continue losing, because you will be going in the direction of the EMA(100) while the price will be going against you.
