Hi all.

How long is the duration of majority of retail FX/prop traders' trades? As I remember Khaled said 90% of the flow can internalized, so is it with minutes, 15 minutes?
Takisd, what is your opinion on that?

I don't know. Prop and broker data is different. On brokers most traders last 30 min or so in a trade. On props likely there are a bunch of scalping gamblers who wouldnt make it in real market conditions.

I would take anything Khaled says with a planet size grain of salt.

Hi everyone, Today I've caught the5ers in price manipulation. I had a long trade on BTCUSD and overnight it hit my SL. The price went down just enough to hit my SL but after I compared the daily low on other brokers or Tradingview or here on FF, today's daily low never went below 67000 but on 5ers today's low shows on my platform at 66886.18. I asked the other traders on 5ers discord group and they said that they had the daily low at 67130 which proves the manipulation by 5ers just to hit the SL. I had the same issue on FTMO a few years ago but I couldn’t prove anything. They blamed the liquidity providers and dismissed my complain. This time the5ers can't blame the liquidity providers as other 5er traders didn't have same low as on my platform. Will see what the5ers excuses will be on this issue. That just shows that the prop firms are after our challenge fees and they will do anything just to fail us.

As expected they replied with the bs answer which didn't even explained why there is a difference between other 5ers trader's mt5 prices with the same liquidity providers.

This is the reply:

From the above image, you can see that there was a huge slippage and due to this reason there were price gaps and your trade did not trigger the SL point, in this situation, the platform is programmed to close the trade with the nearest possible rate available in the market.

I'd like to know what they say about this. I had a similar experience with US 30 with them a couple of months ago. I did not think about asking members in the Discord though.

I'm with you I don't know what that has to do with other accounts having a different price.

Are you sure the discrepancy within 5ers terminals?
I think the guy on Discord referred to his other charts, probably, TradingView. You should check.

I just asked Alex and Jonatan on their live trading stream on Youtube and Alex said my Daily low price but Jonatan's was above 67000. That was funny that Alex who works for 5ers said the price below 67k and Jonatan who trades for 5ers had above 67k. Same liquidity providers but Alex never looked at his mt5 for a daily low but somewhere else so he knew what it's all about. I'm fine with hitting my SL but when something like this happens, it annoys me a lot

Because most people does not care, irresponsible (or stupid) regarding your problem, they just look at their chart, say, my number is this.

I looked at their web platform. The low is around as what you mentioned. The conclusion is they or their liquidity providers could not provide a good feed overnight.

OK you are having prices same as me, could anybody else contribute to this who are on 5ers?

Trading BTCUSD for prop trading is silly. None of these companies use the exchanges for pricing. On markets that are gap down heavily on BTC you get better on CFD's on bullish BTC markets you get better on exchange.

Hey hey, I have to admit, I do not know the5ers, but FTMO is legit I think. They are not ponzi prop trading firm like most of other "prop firms" on the market... If you pass their challenge and if you earn money, the FTMO will send you all your money and this is what matters the most these days, right? They are so big nowadays that there is no need to manipulate market by them, I think... What others do you think about FTMO?

Yeah its not a FX bucketshop. They are a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM), the money they make is off commissions. They settle trades. There are various other white label brokers who clear thru them (ie Optimas Futures). The money you send them for your account is to cover margin requirements. The money they send you is from CME contract transactions.

There was a class action levied against AMP when CL went negative during covid and all the various feeds had a meltdown. It was dismissed as AMP has nothing to do with the technology of the various platforms, nor the various feeds. I know some of the other brokers (that have their own platform) covered client losses.
