A case involving Smart Prop Trader (SPT) from Blake artist.

Apparently they banned a trader for martingale, despite their conditions seem to say that they welcome everything onboard.

According with Blake the guy was paid and banned but, due to a technical fail from SPT, he was able to enroll again. Now he got to a payout and was denied. He is filling a legal case.

It's also good to remember that in SPT they can refuse a payout if the trader refuses a YT interview. It's in their T&C.

Out of my mind these are the points that may be negative for someone, depending on their trading style:

1. No news trading in +/-2 minutes, although they have a very wide interpretation. I think they only limit this to opening positions and not a problem if a SL / TP is hit during those 2 minutes, provided that the position is opened for a long time.

2. Three days minimum >0.5%

3. inactivity period is 21 days maximum

Sorry, missed end of that post asking about 5%ers. As Capablanca pointed out, the news trading rule, the 0.5% and the inactivity would be the only negatives. None of these impact me. Spreads re 0 on majors, razor thin on crosses. I have no execution issues, got positive slippage on a limit order on NAS last week. They are the real deal and reputation is pretty much perfect.
I NEVER liked them do their offerings, but high stakes was the game changer for me. Only other drawback is max initial funding is 100K (technically 105K as they allow a 5K + any other size). However, you CAN scale much quicker as it occurs every 10% regardless of time. The traditional 2 step firms is 10% EVERY 3-4 MONTHS.
They also offer a salary once you are pretty deep in their scaling, I have yet to determine if that is a marketing gimmick or legit. Obviously, there would be some Ts &Cs with that.

What's the cheapest 3 step evaluation right now, I saw some prop firm that's offering $17 for a $10,000 account but I forgot what prop was that.

Wow! I think that's ridiculously cheap! I wouldn't venture into it.
Besides, why would I subject myself to a 3 steps evaluation?
2 steps is still an headache,why 3? I'm looking for just 1 step evaluation and TFT Knight Challenge has it!

3 step is slavery like so why would anyone search for one? I don't get it.
It should be you make x% then get paid straight away on a lower account size before scaling without challenges.

that makes the5ers better in terms of commissions/spreads than FTMO for the majors
what about the indices like Dow, S&P , Dax and commodities ?

They recently introduced a new set of vague rules regarding 'gambling and overleveraging'.

After 9 days of waiting, they denied my payout and reset my balance to 200k because of overleveraging. The highest position size I had was 40 lots on 200k account which is a much smaller leverage than what they offer.

They do not state clearly what constitutes the overleveraging and gambling, it seems like an another excuse to scam people and do not pay them.

Top Tier is from Cue Banks, a know artist.

In my case I was a bit luckier than you. They refused me a funded account as I describer here:
