This is the answer to the APEX trailing (it doesn't trail only in the EVAL, in funded yes, and not sure if just for Tradovate or for Rithmic too):


(The following only applies to TRADOVATE accounts)
During your evaluation your trailing drawdown will NOT stop trailing.
ANOTHER EXAMPLE:
Each evaluation and PA account comes with a max drawdown amount.
For example, the 50K account, which has a Trailing Threshold of $2,500.
This means that the max you can lose is $2,500 from the highest profit point (open equity, not closed profit).
For example, you begin the first day with $50,000 and the max you can lose is $2,500 or a low of $47,500. You place your first trade and the active trade is in profit $600 your max drawdown always TRAILS the profit peak in real time so now the max drawdown is $48,100. ($50,600- $2,500 = $48,100).
However, you have not closed the trade yet and by the time you close the trade you only made $100 profit. Your max drawdown remains at $48,100 even though you only have $50,100 in the account (because at one time during an active trade you reached a peak of $50,600). The max drawdown always trails by $2,500 from the highest point.

In your Paid/Funded account, the trail will stop when you have exceeded the risk allotment by $100. For example, say you are allowed $2500 trail and start at $50,000. Once you exceed $52,600, your trail will stop at $50,100 and not trail up any further.

For the STATIC accounts:
The drawdown will remain the same as it is already static. E.g. 100k STATIC account, the drawdown will remain at $99,375 and will not change.

The trailing stop doesn't stop trailing ?!
I thought in Apex all trailing would stop at starting balance + something, no matter if in eval or in funded.
(I haven't dig deep yet in apex)

No Futures trading is not forbidden. Second you should not need to pay sales tax because these are financial transaction which are subject to be sales tax free see here:

Also you do not need a firm, a self employed from your "Finanzamt als Freiberufler registrieren" is enough. But you need to ask your local tax department how they treat this. What you get from the prop firm is "Provision" based on your profit split. And financial Provision is sales tax free also, but you pay full "Einkommensteuer", see here

I remember when I 1st brought up Apex during the summer on here and it was a bit hostile, I think you came at me too lol... Then MFF was taken down and the payout shenanigans with the remaining players increased. Besides FTMO & 5%ers, the FX prop side has become a complete shit show the last 2 months. Who pays is the #1 priority and APEX pays and they pay big (5+ figures) like FTMO & MFF.

As far as the intraday trailing... I may be wrong, but I think most of us here are scalping to victory. It pretty much nullifies their trailing trap. >1:1 RR systems will very likely be problematic. That being said, once you get past the payout threshold (when trailing stops) you can day trade from there anyway you please including with higher RR systems.

lol no... both FTMO & MFF were not making 6 figure payouts until they were >2 million in monthly web traffic. Bespoke is <300K a month.

Funded it stops, I don't believe it does in eval. Personally, It's another reason why I stay away from the larger accounts with higher target to DD ratios.

Yes, for me it is problematic because i trade basically from session to session and close everything at US close. So price fluctuations during day time will kill me. But i will practice some scalping, know indeces price behavior, so maybe this will be another skill i improve. I will try to target some discount offers with end of day trailing drawdown this will be easier.

May I ask you what is your trading strategy that works best with prop firms strict rules?
What do you trade, what TF, do you use indicators or just pure PASR?

I do recall pouring cold water all over Apex when you brought it up. For that I do apologize. Those conversations eventually peaked my interest and here we are.

As traders, we are always having to pivot and adapt to the new conditions. If MFF going down and the ensuing snowball effect doesn't take place, we are more than likely not looking at apex or futures props at all, for that matter.
As much as I bitch and complain about regulators in the US, nothing has been done in my 10+ years trading, so logically, I do not expect anything to occur to benefit us.
I already began gravitating towards futures on the personal account and, TBH, these futures props seem a much safer, cleaner option than what is currently taking place with the fx props.
In a nutshell, market conditions have changed, and the intelligent among us, have adjusted to the CURRENT conditions.

price action scalping with clean charts. Also right now passed blue guardian as well thanks to the NFP.

A Book/B Book is a Forex thing due to its decentralization. There is not such thing with futures as it’s centralized from the same feed.

only in eval not, in funded it trail.

this is for "tradovate", may be for rithmic it trails also in evaluation, somobody need to check in the rithmic faq.
