When Dollar is strong, Gold is dropping, when Dollar is weakening/dumping, gold is still dropping.

Make it make sense. that 4h chart is screaming for some relief.

Golds price action can basically be described as "Ping pong in an approximately $2 range during London, the move in a random binary direction on a US news release. Hope you're on the right side"

Today it has not mattered one bit if I've bought or sold. It immediately goes in the other direction, hits my stop los and reverses again.
Lost £6000 since this fall has started. Quite frankly, I'm close to ending it.

8 minutes after.. It held that 1820 quite well for the first 8 minutes since news release; then, big dog put it down another 0.5% in 30 secs.

Its a little bit like 29 June. and 18 august. But that might be not right trade safe.

All I know is, if I'm doing it there's a 95% chance it's wrong. So if I buy, likely wrong. Sell? likely wrong. Keep a trade open? wrong, reverses before hit TP and hits SL. Close it? Wrong, goes on to hit TP. Trading a trend? It ranges, Trade a range? Trends.

Reacting to S&R? Wrong, goes trough. Target next resistance above the immediate one because it's been tapped multiple times? Wrong, taps again reverses.

Unemployment claims shouldn’t have this bearish affect because people need two jobs to cover their expenses. If market moves down then big players are getting greedy to take meat just below 1805. 1795-1805 area is very attractive due to huge liquidity.

Psychology is the biggest factor. You should probably take a break and trade a new system on demo for a while...

We still got some impacting news tomorrow, however i find the numbers more political than trustworthy.
Also considering that the usd debt almost rised with 1 trillion the past month. I mean things do not add up to each other.
also we see a lot of revisioning happening, soon the trust will drain out of USD and the longs will be safe.

Taking a break and reviewing your one two years activity and journals will help.
Your psychological state and methodology is way more important than any technical skill.

I don`t know your general results, but if you been around that long, you surely have to to have your own edges.

It`s just an ugly ugly period when we gotta adapt to changing market conditions. It does not wants to be swinged... got the 4h bottom wick 3 times but had to led it go when i saw those trash low time frame price action.

Don`t go for swings in a scalp environment and vice versa..

market lost its traditional correlations, just swings around trapping bulls and bears.

It`s not that odd that some big dogs will profit out of book imbalances at times..
Since 25th Sept gold has been continuously been held down...any attempt to retrace or small release rally was meet with violence...

For sure, it will reverse/retrace at some point, but can we stay liquid until we catch that knife?

Its a question of how low will it go before it does, until then, risk management and capital protection is all that matters

we fomo in cause were afraid of missing it... if we miss it, ultimately, its our fault: overemotional, blurred thinking, biases, frustration...
