Anyone who sees potential to trade Gold on high volatile USD news? Usually Gold moves like a lightning on those. Predicting up/down before news comes out can be big.

NFP can be traded based on imbalances that need filling and liquidity grabs, however Id personally avoid, it can do what it wants and often does and leaves people either smiling or crying. for me its not worth the risk, trade it on a demo to see how close you can get but live is too harsh imo unless very experienced and seasoned in how it moves

Those of y’all thinking this shutdown could be bad news for the dollar need a lesson on fundamentals lol. Even if inflation is around the corner that would still mean bullish for the dollar and bearish for gold. What do you think is the reason for this sudden sell off on gold? Look at the index if anything it’s a retracement before a move higher, if you want to buy anything at a possible inflation situation buy the S&P500.

Y’all gonna lose more money betting on bullish gold and a bearish dollar. Chances are we might see 1700 possibly even 1600 before ever getting close to 2000 lol.

These comments about gold never coming back if it goes over 2000 always makes me laugh

If you’re talking about gold I can’t tell, I usually enter a hour or two before London opening on the chart on my screen at that particular moment kind sir

I agree with you in monthly we are Bearish we just need to have confirmations to catch the retracement before the waterfall..

im counting on gold to get back to 1900 maybe 1920 before starts falling again

gold is bearish on quarterly but the drop since the shutdown nonsense started over last weekend will all get retraced up to sept 25th level like every news item usually does

the trick is to time it right LOL

I was looking at H1 but on 15, yes it looks like it will bounce up a bit.
I'm just trying to understand the psyche of traders that use SL and if reentry after SL gets hit will result in sticking with their original assessment (in this case gold will go up) or when SL gets hit, it becomes an all new day again with new analysis or if the trader ends up in a bit of paralysis due to having been proven wrong despite all the good TA that went into the long position.

im bearish but taking a countertrend long so a sl will keep me from becoming an "investor"

depends if someone a swing trader or not
