I like portable installs too. Keeps things nice and tidy, with your MQL4/MQL5 data in a subfolder of your terminal instead of your Windows user profile.

Hi Aaron, I see you have a a folder entilted Ment1 - is that for Ment Funding? I recently saw Anton state the firm hadn't refused a single legitimate payment request in its history. Just wondered what your experience was, cheers.

I have no experience with them but they are playing with words
1. if they paid it's legit
2. if they don't pay it's because it's illegit

So, easy to say they never refused a legit. The point, like in all, is he definition of illegit, how many they refused (illegit) and if they were really illegit

Possibly, but I don't know. I am evidence based and don't assume everyone is guilty from the outset.

for those who haven't watch this, at 8:26 5ers mentioned some of their liquidity providers, one broker they mentioned is interactive brokers, i forgot the rest.

I remember somebody a while back was keeping a spreadsheet of prop firm ratings and sharing it in this thread regularly. Does anybody know if it's still going?

Their quality of service and customer support was really poor when they started, but improved over time. Servers would not process pending orders and have outages for 8-14hrs, and customer support would basically say that trading wasn't allowed during those times for indices when that's not what the FAQ stated (and market orders worked fine), and then they'd blame my lot position calculator EA (which worked fine on Eightcap demo servers and other prop firms using Eightcap). Eventually the server quality/performance improved as they worked with Eightcap support. All KYC was sent over unencrypted email and I wasn't impressed with that method, no app or web portal with SSL (maybe that's improved now?). Also, the "live" account had much different trading conditions than the demo account, which they INSISTED had simulated conditions identical to their live account (and their eval phase was also different from an Eightcap demo account, so they definitely were simulating something). I'm not convinced the live account is indeed a true live account with real funds as they insist (their FAQ still says this today). I frankly don't believe any prop firm when they say it's a live account.

All of that being said, they've been a solid prop firm. They are quiet, no fuss, no drama, no crazy marketing. The "live" server has been more reliable than the demo was for the eval stage with comparable trading conditions to other Eightcap firms. The leverage is low, but good enough for me. The profit split is lower than some, but can be upgraded with an extra purchase at checkout now. In fact, there are several optional addons on checkout now that can make them a lot more expensive than competitors if you add them all, but hey, it's flexible and you get to choose what you want. The back office has everything you'd expect. The rules are dead simple and clear and you don't hear complaints of them not paying out for hidden rules or made up excuses. It's a 1 step instead of a 2 step challenge, so you could argue it's not as good a bargain for the drawdown and I'd agree. But for a 1 step program, it's good. Like almost all 1 step challenges it has a trailing stop, but once you reach 5% it becomes a fixed stop at starting account balance, no more trailing after that. It's also a balance-based drawdown, not equity, and that's good. Be careful though because withdrawals do count against your drawdown, as most 1 step accounts do. So you really want to let your account balance build a bit and invest even more of your time and money (profits) before cashing out and hitting break even.

Meh... nothing special for trading conditions. Not terrible, not great. Customer service is below average and slow to respond, but I've rarely needed to use them either. Crypto in/out is no fuss.

Thanks for the excellent breakdown - I will try them out. I've not read anything negative about the firm that gives me cause for concern. Their leverage is fine, as I will opt for the $2m account.

I was checking them and apparently they changes the max DD and it's not trailing any longer.

"The Max Loss no longer trails! The Max Loss is static and calculated ONLY on initial Balance. For example, on a $100,000 account, the account can only be breached if it goes below $94,000 (6%). So if your balance grows to $107,000 on a $100,000 account, the Max Loss is still $94,000 (6% from the original balance). Note: the Max Loss moves to the initial balance after the first withdrawal - incentivizing our funded traders to compound and grow their accounts before withdrawing huge earnings (see Rules tab above for more information and examples)."

Edit: it's a hidden trailing. Doesn't exist until we withdraw but it trails anyway.

They seem to be based in UK right ? (LLC)

My advice to you guys is go back to FTMO where you all started. They are still a reputable prop firm.

-Probably, it will be easy for any firm to remain legit so long as they do not face any huge payouts. You just never know how a firm will respond when such an event happens. So, always best to tread carefully with these firms.

I cannot speak about the services directly, since I never gave them a second consideration after my interactions with the founder. They used to have a really crummy draw-down/withdrawal rule, but I do not know if that has changed. The model seems to be a white label/cookie-cutter model with a few, custom modifications. Probably similar to what other firms are using.

Hi folks, I've been a long time lurker of this thread, since Mastermind started. I learned a lot. Given the recent news regarding MFF, I still have some faith in the prop industry but one thing I've collectively learned from the posts here is to tread with caution and do your own due diligence. I decided to purchase a challenge account with Fxify and will be adding more with FTMO and MFFX if all goes well. My goal is to trade enough to build enough capital to put into my personal trading account so I can trade that full time after I retire next year from the military after 26 years. I have a good strategy but my problem in the past has been risking too much per trade and giving my profits back to the market. I plan to take it slow and steady this time and not focus on the profits since the challenge is unlimited time now.

-This is the key... learning how to not give it all back to the market. Many traders lack proper capital, so they resort to trading larger sizes in order to see worthwhile returns. This often means reckless trading. Remote props are filling a void and providing a service in a much needed space by allowing traders the opportunity to raise that capital quickly, which is a really good thing, I think. My hope is that the remote prop model can survive the regulatory efforts that are currently intent on stopping it.

Once you have reasonable capital in your personal account(s), then you can trade with much less risk while still making a living off of your efforts. That said, it is absolutely critical that traders learn how to be good losers. If you can learn how to lose well, then you can do well with trading, I think. If, on the other hand, you do not know how to lose well, then you are bound to give it all back to the market, either through revenge trading and/or poor risk management etc..

Just create a shortcut on your desktop to the terminal.exe file, wherever you installed it.
