I truly think it's hilarious to find two rather interesting positions present on these sites ......
First you have the "we need information" people, case in point Exhibit A .....

Second we have the "thinking is overrated and anyway, we have all the information and know-how we need" people, case in point Exhibit B .....

Now, to the lay person who really doesn't consider too many things in Life or merely anything beyond the end of their nose (just as society has taught you so well), these two may "appear" a bit different or even totally different, however, when you look more closely AND using a more well rounded position, you will find they're merely a representation of this ......
But if you've ever actually paid attention in Life, you'll find a quiet little giggle coming from the background. This giggle is Mr and Mrs Common Sense and all throughout your life they're trying to get your attention to show you this ........
That's why I find it HILARIOUS because at the end of the day they're all just doing this ........
Instead of appreciating that the more you understand the people around you and the world you live in, the greater impact you have. People who do this and live this way don't "need" others to tell them what makes sense, or what the "problems" are, it's bloody obvious. Why? People who only hold to a "me" perspective are cursed with a teeny tiny view of the world. They "believe" in optimism vs cynicism instead of using their naturally gifted basic maturity and intelligence to see things more clearly. Meanwhile, another person with a small, medium and wide worldview doesn't take advantage of other people's immaturities and ignorances.
Here's an easy example -
We are a species who need oxygen to breathe to live. Flora AKA plant life use CO2 for their own living processes and as a bi-product of this, they expel O2 into the air and ultimately the atmosphere all around us. Now, seriously, do people from say, the 18 or 1900's onwards .... REALLY need to be told that reducing the flora content on this planet is "BAD" for life ???? Do people really "neeed" someone to tell them that if you reduce the innate value you place on your general environment, then at some point, YOU WILL DIE. Ergo, cause your own demise.
So .... while many around here find these threads "helpful" or interesting, maybe by now you can see that it's really just assisting with lowering your basic intelligence. Common sense is an innate part of being human. Don't "agree"? Just remember back to those very basic lessons by your parents and elders re: crawling, walking, talking, eating, pissing and shitting. It's all there. Basic simple common sense beginning. Do's and don'ts. Can and cannot. Should and should not. Will and will not. Could and Should.
People are very funny.
So the next time you think your position carries "common sense" type thinking, I'd advise to reset your perspective and consider the well rounded picture.
Turning the basics into overcooked, over reduced grissle is not common sense. Nor is having an overabundance of opinion wrapped up in what you're doing that expects more of you.
Interesting ......... yes?!
So as I have said before, GETTING the $$$ into your account is not the end but the very beginning.
Happy learning and trading
