He tried to look hawkish but wasn't. He kept emphasizing on data. The market got the point what it is just a statement. This is why market has responded bullish. Soft landing on cards and there is also a chance of rate cut this year according to many pundits. But i think first rate cut will be early next year.

That's really sad to know. I would advise you to use stop losses especially when you are trading gold. Although anything can happen, but i don't see price going down beyond 1970 in short term.
Powell's stance may not be purely dovish but traders have taken it dovish anyway. Reasons are many: firstly the interest rate is already all time high, then data is also coming positive. Then there is still a risk of banking crisis. adding to that if Fed increases rate one more time then there is risk of mild recession as well. All these points lead to only one expectation i.e. THIS IS THE LAST RATE HIKE.
Therefore market is responding accordingly. Powell did kept on saying that we go meeting by meeting and we will see the data and then decide but they were merely statements.

XAUUSD is very volatile hold position overnight and expecting the price to move as per your market bias is risky strategy. As gold get effected by every economic and political event best is to to be just day trader take profit/loss and call it a day . You can try make 50/100 pips as day trader that's will be sufficient. Keep stop loss for every trade buy at support and sell resistance
Just need to be consistent every day of the week once you achieve that you will never look back .

I believe we are still bearish asf on Gold. However after recent price action on the Daily I can warrant a run higher to turtle soup the monthly rejection block then be a bear from there.

Sorry Mohamed, not sure what you mean. I still expect lower to red circle But it doesnt mean it will happen. I just have to manage my risk or use some of the profits i made on the long side for the downside move. PS i am not short yet, i need PA to confirm for me and it hasnt yet. But even if the downside happens i might miss it if it goes fast as i dont chase price. I got decent profits long side and wanna keep em

imo, 76-79th is a quite strong area (look at the left (!)) .., and price will be around here for a while
and I do expect DPP (Classic) 1970.68 to be printed and probably "news spike" 1964.94 to be filled first
and we have "missing" DPP (Classic) 1960.48 from yesterday

P.S. besides this asian gave us H4 inside bar (my broker's H4 chart) with H&L: 77.90-70.74
