hello meta trader 4 crashes after alarm. I can't turn off the alarm either. I turn off the internet. I open the metatrader, cancel the alert thing and close and open the metatrader again. then it works with the alarms cleared. but without using the alert indicator. Is there a script or indicator that limits alerts? or any other solution???

Good old MetaQuotes and MT5 and they wonder why traders are not using it. All the standard indicators need to be recompiled and many traders would not know how to do that and even closing down the platform then opening it up does not recompile the standard indicators. On top of that as a coder I find it a total waste of time because what I code today may not work on the next MT5 update so for now I will stick with MT4. {image}

Does anyone have a MA Cross indicator that has a third MA that filters alerts?
Or Can a third MA be added to the attached MA Cross indicator?
An example of what I'm looking for:
When the price is above 200exp ma and the 5exp ma crosses above 20exp ma it creates a buy alert.
When the price is below 200exp ma and the 5exp ma crosses below 20exp ma it creates a sell alert.
Can the instances of alerts be limited to a number like the first 2 or 3 crosses?
Can the indicator have push alerts? Please let me know if you have something like this already or if it's possible to code it. With thanks Drew

Dear Great Coders, I really need help to clean up this code and make it more efficient.
The indicator is quite reliable but it sometimes shows signals (during back testing) that's aren't present in the live chart.
It also intermittently show double signals as shown in the picture below.
I have back tested the indicator rigorously and can confirm it doesn't repaint (to the best of my knowledge). {file}
