I can understand the code very well and clear. The code is describing a simple Fibonacci retacement strategy based on the first closed H1 Bar.

Yes, you're correct on the fibonacci usage. Based on your image and also assuming the quote function caused issues, this calculates upper and lower 1.618 extensions for the previous and complete bar (lookback 1 == previous bar in thinkscript)

From there it calculates 2 of the 1.618 extensions with the result of 50% of those two values, then plots that line if it is greater than 0. (The greater than 0 part is because when I first did this I was using it primarily on options charts and there were certainly cases where values < 0 existed which were useless.)

I don't disagree with you there at all. The tag is simply meant to prompt some thought with the hope that thought leads toward understanding that the look within is where the most success in trading is.

Thanks for your time, challenge and look at the code. I'm hopeful an example like this will cause me to gain some better understanding of MQL4 for indicators specifically. Either I'm not looking deep enough or the C++ roots are scaring me that bad lol.

Just study the input parameters and adjust the colors and buttons positions, because you may not see everything on the first application. This indicator works OnClick. You just click on the desired candle, can also be of higher Tf, and you get this:

You can delete the ruler by clicking on the mid pivot line.

Just play with it and study the inputs.
BTW, I do not have the source code for this one, so don't ask me to change anything.

PS. There is the option to plot an extra level, so you can actually use that to plot the Buy/Sell Levels from the Script!

Good Day Sir, thank you for all your help , i have stoch vline (no mtf, ) one with mtf (no 80/20 option) with mtf the 50 vline not aligned with the stoch cross
maybe i can solve both with this version, please i beg for help to add vlines to this stoch,

The VLines are together with the arrows, so they will be plotted according to the cross settings on the arrows.
Also the VLines colors are the arrow colors.

A side note:
What are you looking for?
A stoch is a stoch, and MT4 is MT4. You can't get what is not possible on MT4. Like MA prices in between candles, you can't get those, and even if you could calculate them, you can't plot a VLine on a time inside the candle or between visible candles. So the VLine will not always be exactly where the MA's crossed, but on the candle just after the cross.

Thank you Sir for your help, i was trying to see if i can get the signals only after having contact with the 80/20/50 lines
i attach image to show what am looking for , the yellow shows 50 point and white shows 80/20 point

but i agree with this 'A stoch is a stoch, and MT4 is MT4'

The way to go about it - as Karl Popper has shown in his falsification theory - is to try to falsify that the system/theory is true. [Nassim Nicholas Taleb's "Black Swan theory" is a good example: financial models are regarded as true until a "black swan" appears and detroys them etc - people who wipe out their account because they lack proper risk management and/or have no long-term edge do the same thing...]
As the "holy grail" is a (religious/Christian) allegory (instead of a scientifically disproavable theory/system) it is simply a matter of belief.

No, this indicator does not provide the option of alert on obos cross, only either on 50 cross, or on the two MA's cross not related to obos.

oooh ok thats the situation i cant get online one with overbought oversold plus 50 cross that is mtf

i found this but it dont have 50 cross but it has obos, help please change lines to Vlines

LOL, I can change the previous one to have extra alerts on obos!

EDIT: After second thoughts, what I was think of will become too complicated in teh mtf mode, so I'll just add the VLines to the one you posted.

Finish the point at your discretion.

You have "verticalLinesID" - change that for every instance!
