hi guys .. hi dear coders .. please make this come to life ..
the idea is as following
we have 3 indicators … a moving average a histogram and an rsi arrow … when ever a candel close with all of three indicators flipping color to match that candel (bullish or bearish ) than we open a trade … so … 1. rsi arrow appear on that closed candel. .2. histogram flipps from red to blue or viseversa on that same candel … 3. moving average color also flips on that candel .

Add tp and sl based on x amount of candels instead of pips
add lot size based on Balance %

VERY IMPORTANT … signal is only valid if all 3 indicators flip on that candel if for example histogram was flipped 1 candel early or more than no entry and same goes to rest of indicators .

how do we code lines in this format

could anyone please write a reusable function please

Hi guys. I discussed briefly with jeanlouise the idea of coding dynamic Renko Bars and jeanlouise gracefully declined. Fair enough. But I still cant shake the idea of controlling the size of the bar with an ATR and keep a visual confirmation of the results.

So... What if I tried coding this with some (a lot probably) guidance from you?

I guess the first thing would be how to make an Offline Chart? What needs to be coded for creating that?
And is it better to modify an existing Renko code or start from scratch?

Jeanlouie is right.
MT4 is not very suitable for charting "Dynamic" Renko Bars.
For real "Dynamic" Renko Bars you better switch to NinjaTrader or TradeStation

Hello,
a friend of main traslate this indicator from mt4 to mt5...it is ok if I have only buy or only sell positions:indicator plot an orizzontal line in order to display average price.
But if there are both long and short positions, orizzontal line is wrong.
I need two orizzontal line with different colors: one for long and one for short,it is usefull for hedging account mt5

Basic EA attached. You don't need indicator as candle detection logic is ported.
However, as is, result might be mixed. You may try on various pairs and TF which mix is better for this strategy.
Based on my optimization run, entrypoint 60, take profit 27, loss 20 seems working OK on gbpjpy 30 min TF with min. DD.

I'm very grateful sir, thanks for your quick response, please the attached is okay i just need to cut off the length of the horizontal lines for the indicator i want it to be marking the beginning of the day to the end just like in the picture if placed on daily it will be smaller if placed on 4hrs and 1hr it will extend in length.

Before anything else you need to better define what you mean in the first place, ie how is it supposed to work. The way a renko block is made is when current prices exceeds a block height away from the last block. If the block height is not fixed, and based on atr, then several blocks n candles will have to be recalculated and redrawn.

Consider the pic, even for historical blocks, everything is fine when the block is fixed size, but if the blocks are based on an atr(say period 1) value, then the blocks would be redrawn+resized to include or exclude any candle. The atr values in the pic have levels in multiples of 10pips, so you have 1x and *2x block heights, and the renko blocks are 20pip, Its constantly switching block height. Guessing what it may look like, redrawing them would probably make everything look erratic.

I'd rekon to get an idea of what some sort of atr based block thing would look like, load a supertrend indicator, or a step ma, both vary with atr.

You can use this - it shows Range and how many bars in between.
