I am not sure if e8 firm offers scaling for normal e8 accounts.

As I could see, the overall loss of 8 % is scaled up upon every withdrawal.

However capital scaling not offered.

ELEV8 account offers though.
Intraday only.

From my situation, I have a $20K challenge 'gifted' to me by the 'new T10T' operator, Basill however, my head hurts trying to make sense of it.

Woeful conditions, makes me wonder if I should just not bother and move on.

Personally I think your energy would be better spent elsewhere. I do not know how many even got the "recovery" account details. So far you are the only one I have heard of....

The more I think about it the less motivated I become due to the unfavorable conditions.

You are right,energy could be better spent elsewhere.

Funny really since this account didn't cost me a dime but I feel tired just thinking about it and what it entails.

Might be best to simply sit back and let the Bank team complete their investigation.

Ditto Trade is feeling like hitting the jackpot at this stage but I'm still waiting to get started with them due to strict ASIC conditions, hopefully ready by month end for an early June start, fingers crossed.

I didn't even know it was going to be $20,000 until I logged into the account but ofcourse from previous correspondence I did have a pretty good idea, just hoping for a bigger account start.

Never used them but a simple search of their FAQ reveals the broker they use.

I haven’t done any further research apart from browse their site.

They claim to have their own LP and at least identify the owners and provide a bit of a background, UK based. I’ll have a closer look later but if anyone has any experience of them, might be interesting to hear your views?

The regular e8 accounts scale based on profit made per payout period...

Scaling in that diagram is basically not withdrawing the money and keeping it there. That's what happens in almost all firms (I think only FTMO cuts his share of the profit if trader doesn't withdrawal the profits).

What a mess... I had read the normal FAQs and T&C but haven't checked that help centre.
I think you're interpreting it correctly. It sound that we can withdraw profits and they put it back in the account if we request.

I checked with them in chat.

They said :

After you make a withdrawal, the daily loss and overall drawdown is calculated from your scaled balance.
Intraday only.

Good news from E8, I was right, they do increase the max DD to 14% for both programs within 3 months ! So I am still very interested. Expectancy score on 14% DD is 6.9 times ! So you get up to 7 times as value for the fee you pay them. That is one of the best programs on any prop out there.

So, they basically scale you 75% from a drawdown perspective( which is truly the only number that matters). To put it in perspective, it would be the equivalent of a 200K FTMO account with 10% DD scaled to a 350K FTMO account with 10% DD within 3 months. This would take 1 year with FTMO.
The drawback is that is the end of the scaling, where FTMO can scale up to 2 million (200K DD), although that would take 12 years if you didn't add another 200K yourself, and still 5+ years on a 400K.

Bad marketing.... in my opinion, their account balance & drawdown scaling plans for the regular account are appealing... why are they not front and center?

Maybe they are trying to entice people into the gimmicky ELEV8 account requiring 200% performance on DD in 20 trading days, which will inevitably lead to over risking and blown accounts to achieve those results.
