Thanks Zuck. He's gonna ruin it for the rest of us: Alarmed by Libra, EU to look into issuing public digital currency: draft Stablecoins, including Facebook-led Libra, could come under securities rules, says global watchdog EU maintains option...

Somehow 2016 might have effected his reputation as much as anyone... Who woulda though? Certainly the object of a lot of hate since then and it doesn't seem like he is down playing the villain yet. Imagine if he fucks this up for all of us... then what?

I knew it! If it aint one problem for them its another. Hey Mark, ever heard of Seppuku? Asking for a friend.

Maybe the ole Kansas city shuffle play will work though. While the regulators are all tied up worrying about FB, the savvy are making moves to set their own precedent for regulation: https://www.cryptocraft.com/news/961...ody-market/hit

EU finance ministers have agreed that private digital currencies like Libra – the crypto coin Facebook plans to launch in 2020, should not be allowed in the European Union until all possible risks are identified and properly addressed, Reuters reports.

Since Facebook revealed its Libra project in June, virtually all major financial regulators have expressed concerns about Libra's possible impact on the global financial system. The unease steams from Facebook's huge customer base – currently the social media has more than 2 billion users.

Users need to understand that Libra is not a cryptocurrency, actually it defies all the rules of being one - firstly - it's controlled by an Association, big names from all the industries, like Uber, Vodafone, venture capitalists, etc.

Regulators concern is the next one: the do not want a company - a corporation - to run a sovereign currency.
