{quote} {image} This is today's move so far. The price can rebound or continue progressing. In either way, in my opinion, after we already had a huge move it's difficult to make money. I'd better call it a day and come back tomorrow. Now, market moves will be more erratic and noisy. Not worth risking my capital. The key is reading the 'theme' of the day. Of course, sometimes there's no theme of the day. Then the market will be very noisy and trend followers and breakout traders will be chopped.

Obviously market wants to fill the gap. At the same time, market knows there are tons of people out there playing with gap filling myth. Market loves to fuck up these innocent people before it finally fills the gap..... Personally, I don't play gap filling.

Finally it revealed its intention which is gap filling. I think it will eventually fill the gap but it won't be a neat and clean shot I guess. Also, time of the day is getting late. So, I decided to quickly take profit and run. I recouped the previous losses and made some profit. As long as the market has a 'theme', I can make money on daily basis.

I am a strong believer that profitable traders usually focus on single trading asset. Each asset has unique characteristics and you should learn every aspect of the characteristics on the asset you trade. The chairman of a well-known Japanese forex broker once said 90% of their clients lose money and 90% of their profitable clients trade only one currency pair. You trade many different currency pairs in a hope you can find better trading opportunities here and there but in reality you lose money here and there because you don't know much about the assets you trade. Try trading nat gas futures only and see if you can improve your performance.

{quote} Thank you Hutch. If I trade spread only, I don't need many screens. However, because now I day trade based on 1M chart, I need speedy decision making. Therefore I need more screens. My internet speed is also decent. This is wire speed. Wire connection is preferable as far as trading concerned. {image} Have a nice weekend too, Hutch.

Thank you for the well wishes. I also trade with a fibre optics wire connection since they are way faster than WIFI and a lot more reliable.

Some threads in FF are dedicated to single asset trading such as "EURUSD only" or "WTI Crude Oil Trading" while most threads deal with multiple assets. I like to trade NG and WTI plus high ATR currency pairs (mostly GPG pairs). This is why I use 3 brokers. What I found amazing is the leverage that each broker offers to traders. As you can see the leverage with my NG broker is 1:495 when each tick is worth $100, the leverage with my WTI broker is 1:100 when each tick is worth $1 and the leverage with my currency pair broker is 1:30 (1:20 for exotic pairs) when each tick is worth between $5 to $7. You are correct stating that trading NG is best since the leverage and tick values are high. NG moves slower than WTI or currency pairs so while I wait for a NG trade to close I'm normally able to trade WTI or some currency pairs.

The statement of the Japanese forex broker is incorrect as shown by the table below from European brokers unless Japanese clients are more stupid than European clients

In a hindsight view, I nearly picked the top by coincidence. As I said, the market hardly gives easy trades. 95% of retailer failure ratio is not a coincidence.......

Volume Weighted Moving Average (VWMA) https://youtu.be/qPwRyP4sry4 {file} https://forex-station.com/viewtopic....74#p1295428674

I was a bit skeptical about using volumes effectively in trading these days. However, now I am revisiting VWMA (Volume Weighted Moving Average). Although I am a big fan of EMA, especially 50 and 200 period, I find VWMA can be better for breakout trading. Simply it's faster than any other moving averages including Jurik filters. I am revisiting it and studying it to use as a better filter in my breakout day trading strategy......
It's interesting there are not many discussions about VWMA even though it's been here for a long time.

(I am not using the strategies in this video by the way.)

https://www.tradingsetupsreview.com/...-average-vwma/

Lastly, I am not sure if VWMA can be used in Forex or Stock Indices. My rough assumption is it could be most effective on assets with volume traded mostly through central exchanges like nat gas future. Nobody knows exact trading volumes of forex or stock indices because there are huge volumes traded through dark pools. This is another benefit trading nat gas future. Thanks to U.S. gov regulations, now even more traders and institutions trade nat gas through Nymex exchange. Actually, most volume of /NG is traded through Nymex these days.

{quote} May-June spread also looks interesting. Zero dollar (the point in which contango becomes backwardation) is your stop loss level. It's that simple. {image}

It worked out again. 20 ticks of gain. Spring-Summer and Autumn-Winter spread trading is the easiest and safest spread trading in my opinion. When you find narrow enough spread, you bet spread widening with fixed stop loss set. This is easy money Mr. Market gives you out. Why don't you try?

{quote} I will try HP next time when I replace Dell desktop. I am a Dell hater (and Windows hater). I really hate Dell since I experienced various hardware issues in my desktop and laptop. Seeing what happened to Apple and Dell, it's just hilarious. Suit...

My Dell XPS 8700 desktop is getting slower with constant 50-80% CPU consumption. I run total 8 instances of MT4 application and each of them runs tons of indicators. Recent additions looks made it even slower. I am considering trying HP desktop this time. The following is a strong candidate. I only need to add more memories. I like its design. It also can run Call of Duty Warzone. Current Dell PC has lower end graphics card which doesn't support this game. Playing Warzone with ultrawide monitor is just awesome. Unfortunately, PS4 or PS5 don't support ultrawide resolution.

{quote} This is from someone who ranked in top in Funseeder.com's leaderboard. His manual strategy performance is really impressive which even beats Renaissance Technologies'. That's my dream goal. You don't need to make successful trades each and every day (that's impossible I believe). 2-3 successful trades with reasonable leverage per month would be enough to meet that goal. The key should be focus and discipline I believe........ {image} {image} https://fundseeder.com/trading_account/17211 (You need a free account to see this page.)...

This trade was stoped out. I see he put tons of forex-station.com stuff on his 'system'. He works hard but unfortunately, I think it's fool hardy. His direction is wrong. I believe at least for day trading or swing trading, counter trend trading is not worth it. As Mladen said, there are decent tools to help catching trend following movements. For counter-trend trading or fading the momentum, the usages of indicators are heavily limited.

The market is already in holiday mode. This year was special to me and has become a milestone. Although I lost some money on widow maker spread trading this year, I finally proved myself profitable day trading is possible. I will be more active in day trading from next year. It will be exciting.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
