According to reports released today (nfe) that strengthened the US dollar, I thought gold would fall. Even to the level of 1778. Why did it not continue to decline? And increased? Can anyone keep me from this trap so that I do not make this mistake again? Is there no relationship between important reports and price? Thank you so much.

Well to answer the question why dollar is tanking while all the numbers were great for US economy, think about this, if forex was that easy then we all would have been millionaires right?

It would made all the sense of gold tanked but big players want to eat all SL’s first, inch a bit higher than 1835 to trick traders to long and then tank gold!

This is my opinion and ofcourse i could be wrong

10 year yield rate of US is decreased. High inflation. And I read that Indians are buying a lot gold for wedding these periods (around december).

And today USD ended the day weak, which pushed gold above 1800.

We have to look to news from a very broad perspective and taking everything with it. And that is very difficult. Unless it is very important news, just follow the market

First possible resistance is around 1825-1830, if cleared i will be looking to sell between 1839 to 1848

FED did not raise the interest rates, and that will remain for some time. However inflation is rising. So that
could have given gold some more room to go up.

So, Why gold is up with surprise?

This is the big question from gold traders right now. As a trader, I told on this thread earlier about resistance level 1830 and support level 1725 before the NFP. Now we should see a rational explanation about this. Well, gold got big demand from india which is a big reason why gold bulled up suddenly. As soon as the news/data released, non-experienced traders are busy about gold bearish movements cause green color data. But they didn't care U.S. treasury's 30-year Yields lower graph, which is clearly bad news for usd. I can say, this is a fundamental reason why usd got weaker despite good jobs data.

Another fundamental point is worker's strike and faking the economy fear which is leads ether/btc to higher market caps. Gold is really different than any other instruments here, no matter how much strong the dollar is gold can rise. When it's rate fall down the reason is less demand or industry level manipulation with their big pile of money. They wait for retail trader to enter the market with high risk/hoped path and they do make it exactly the opposite.
Now, the thought is, the food chain top guys are smart, think like them and you'll make profit.

surely other considerations need to be considered, not just the strength of the usd.

Gold on 15 mins is beginning to show resistance levels at 1820.9. Price starting to climb down showing either profit taking or bears coming in.

Likely we will get an hourly bearish engulfing candle. Next push down we can look towards 1807, or even lower towards 1800. Should it break 1800, we may see previous levels around 1795 to 1785 come back into play.

Trend is still up but it seems that the pullback is here.
A 1 pip gain is better than a 1 pip loss.
