    Bitcoin's year-to-date energy consumption has already surpassed the cryptocurrency's total energy consumption in 2020, according to research conducted by Bloomberg. “The Bitcoin network was estimated to consume about 67 TWh [terawatt hours] of electricity in 2020, and its total consumption has already surpassed this in 2021,” Bloomberg said. “By the end of this year, it looks set to have used 91 TWh of energy—as much as Pakistan,” the report added. Insane.... why the f..ck do we have to pay CO2 taxes, have massive restrictions in regards to which heating system is allowed, massive regulation in regards to insulations of buildings, massive taxes on fuels etc etc but this nonesense shitcoin is buring through 90 TWh of electric energy just for pure speculation?

All politicans and regulators are fully responsible to allow this to happen and as long as it continues every discussion about climate change measures is pure nonesense. China and a few other countries get that... but what abou the big rest like US, EU, Canada, etc etc ?

Ban cryptos all together, or at least all that are less energy efficient than traditional payment systems. If politicans don't, it's a perfect sign how corrupt they are.

There is absolutly no exuse to wait just one week longer.
