Donchian Center of Gravity

Hi,

Attached is the donchian channel indicator.
I would like the middle line to be
instead of the average of the period 0's upper and lower borders,
the average of period 0's and period 1's upper and lower borders.

For instance,

this is the a eurusd chart with donchian channel period 10.
At the current candle:
upper border = 1.1857
lower border = 1.1777
At the previous candle:
upper border =1.1857
lower border = 1.1808

That will give us the center of gravity value at the current candle:
( 1.1857 + 1.1777 + 1.1857 + 1.1808 ) / ( 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 )
4.7299 / 4 = 1.182475

The 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 is because the indicator has 4 values to compute the center of gravity.
If there's no previous candle because it is where the channel starts drawing, we will have 2 instead of 4.

I've tried my best, but to no avails.
So your precious help is more than welcome.

The ex4 file was after adapting & modifying to suit your needs waiting on any confirmation.
Should you have ask for the mq4 file could be post added.
There's no secrets on it though.

Hi everyone, I started learning mql4 3 days ago and decided to try building my first EA.
But I've run into some problems that exceed my current ability.

The Idea is that after 2 successive bear candles on the 1 hour timeframe, the EA will take a trade and risk 2% of MyAccountBAlance. The stoploss is 2 pips above the previous candle high High[1] and the take profit is 2 times risk.

The problems are
1) The position size is not optimized for 2% of account
2) The takeprofit does not change after the first trade. (Other trades after the first trade use the same takeprofit price as the first trade)
3) Sometimes, the stoploss is bigger than what its supposed to be.

Please, can someone help me fix these issues? Sorry if the code is not easily readable, I'll improve that with experience.
Also any tips are welcome.

Hi All,

Have a good day. I am looking for a coder who can help me improve on EA. It is working fine, however, need some improvement, so that I do not need to sit all the time to see if all the trades opened, are closed according to the parameters I input.

I have the source code file, I am not a coder, but still tried to do some modification, and that have worked partially.

So, if some experienced, honest person can help.

Hi Mntiwana, sorry to take you way back. Have been looking for your response as stated above. Will appreciate if it plots the value of the RSI for all bars and shows the value at the precise moment the bar was closed. Though there will be slight variations that will occur to the value of the MTF-RSI, i think it will be marginal.

pls help me build this ea for everyone here be benefited from your good intent. and expect a good undying return from us, as you live.

- the conditions of this EA is for uptrend, downtrend, and horizontal trend. in other words, during contraction(horizontal), expansion phase, and trend phase(up or down)
- applicable to all time frames and pairs.
- set buy and sell, take profit and stoploss with trailing stop
- using moving average 20 default

the action would be, set buy ticket if the moving average will cross at the lowest candle (iLowest) , that would be iLowest is less than moving average because the iLowest candle is now below the moving average. and set take profit at the last lower highs with trailing stop loss.
-
and the opposite is the sell ticket action if the moving average will cross at the highest candle (iHighest), that would be iHighest is greater than moving average because the iHighest candle is above moving average. and set take profit at the last lower highs with trailing stop loss.
- other option of take profit is to close when the moving average crosses the highest or lowest candle.

and this should be applicable to all brokers by giving 5 digits and 3 digits for jpy currency be determine.

- and close all orders 2 hours before the end of the market every friday. set alarm notification to remind the trader that its friday close all trades. and monday from the first session will open a trades.

so thats it. I believe you can do it. you have it or has it. with and from Our Loving Heavenly Father who is the Author of Knowledge that must be shared to all mankind. that is your gift from Him who gave you the good knowledge and skills in programming. be blessed and more power.
