I think it was a typo. Now they correct it to 499.

you need to deposit CASH into your account. And that deposit is more than the DD allowed, stay away.

They just play with word, DEPOSIT = FEE

Hi Takisd,

The unprofessional and fresh meat look about MFF is what steered me away rather quickly and then the interview with a non focused owner, that was it for me I'll go play elsewhere.

Some of the broker offerings at these dodgy Prop Firms is enough to walk away too.

After all due diligence is carried out, it's either take the risk or don't take it.

You guys are not reading it correctly.

The 100k challenge for $495 has a recurring fee of $249/month after the first month.

The 100k challenge for $949 is a 1 time payment.

Clearly, I was referring to the one time payment fee.

I'm with you regarding the 'MFF is a no no' certainly for the time being.

T4T at first read looks promising but they run a very tight ship, very tight DD at 2% on a 10:1 leveraged account so not much flexibility for the trader.

No time limit on hitting the 10% target which is nice, reduces pressure on the trader.

Reset fees are modest in my opinion although a 1M account size will cost you 2k to reset after an initial 5k for the assessment.

Any traders here used T4T Prop Firm ?

I don't think they realised there was another option down further.

Hey mate, i did give them (theproptrading)some of my money previous to their current version. wont go back to that, you are so right about the broker, i was demoing trading Gold with them and it is horrid, the commission was like 10 times worse than IC markets and Pepperstone. disappointing really.
I guess they are all a bit of a trade off at some point, but hopefully we can weed out the good ones overall.

Hi

I posted some GENERAL/SIMPLE tips for newbies on TMS as it seems to attract a lot of newbies and thought it may benefit some people who come here too. There may be more tips to check but maybe these will already help someone.

Some GENERAL/SIMPLE tips to do BEFORE you sign on:

- google any names of any official you find on the firm's site
- google eg. reviews fundingtalent/funding talent
- check their testimonials and see if you have any names + surnames to google and/or contact
- check their contact email and see if it is the same as their official website
- Check their type of response if you contact them first(as well as any follow up).
- Beware if they are not forthcoming with their company info
- do: eg. whois funding talent (they may use eg. emails @ contactprivacy (dot) com which may or may not raise a flag)
- if any links on their turns up 404's - beware
- if on their website - they use "bad" english/whatever language - beware
- if the site "looks sloppy(not well made)" to you - beware.
- check relevant threads here on FF like : Prop Firm Hub
- check well known sites like Baby Pips to see if they have any info regarding the offer
- check the brokers they use(google reviews about them - may raise a flag)
- check the commissions/spread - this may be horrid(bad - not worth it)
- eg. make a screenshot of any contact with them

Hi Chriss,

The idea behind a trader such as myself wanting to use Prop Firms is simply to add more capital, and with more capital the opportunity to generate more money.

Capitalist mindset but also very much a realist.

Apart from the time and fee involved in completing a challenge there is very little additional effort required to potentially generate 1000's if not tens of thousands of extra income using simple tools readily available, such as trade copiers.

As for the uni graduates of which I am one also they wouldn't be able to trade their way out of a wet paper bag.

You need skin in the game and mountains of good experience to even start to have the chance of becoming a consistent full-time trader.

Some of the finance grads get lucky to some extent because they may find their way into large banks or hedge funds and if they aren't cut out for trading they might get slotted into other positions.

this is for their other model (the one with a 10% biweekly bonus payment), not the challenge model.

That link gave me earlier today a 404 error but now the link seems to work and I can see the evaluation accounts with the correct prices. Thanks.

Yes, I’m aware of that. But I just want to see what they have to offer. The only trustworthy firms for me at the moment are FTMO and Enfoid.

$ to $ FTMO is better than Enfoid.
I am waiting to see is there any kind of offer from FTMO to counter MFF and The Prop Trading.
If not I'll jump on to The Prop Trading, regardless of their so-called shady broker. I don't think they are going to take my $800 and fold up or start scamming so fast.

It took Funding Talent and MFF a year or 2 before they show their true color.
