Jack Ma, one of China's most successful and outspoken tycoons, criticised the country's 'pawnshop' financial regulators and state-owned banks in an incendiary speech in Shanghai in October. He called for reform of a system that 'stifled business innovation' and likened global banking regulations to an 'old people's club'. Jack Ma has discovered having money just means you have money it does not make a person Wealthy.
Freedom of Thought, Freedom of Expression, Freedom of Movement, Freedom of Worship, Health these are the things that make a Humble Pauper wealthy no matter what is in the wallet.

Money is a renewable asset, Freedom when taken away is what makes a person Destitute.

Just google; Is EU pro-China? and then google; is UK pro-China? I think you will get a sense of compromise from the EU towards China. The UK already canceled Chines 5G. Australia is taking steps against China. We already know where the US is standing on that. All the Five Eyes countries have taken some sort of action against Chinese influence but not the EU.

Ferdinand Porsche was the Deutsch equivalent of Henry Ford, and like him he was an innovator in design / build for producing a cheap "peoples" car.
one was a Socialist the other a Capitalist.

not a lot of difference really, both produced incredible cars.

The rest were Manufactured IN CHINA. China has the highest growth rates and will remain the largest single market in the future. And of course better diversification should be pursued. Calm down, you're being over-sensitive there. You assume I was attacking you from the onset because I stated the figures to be suspect? I suppose you thought I was defending the UK because you intended to make it out that the EU was beyond reproach because the UK had larger figures. I was merely clarifying the care that should be taken with the figures. You will find my answer consistent with other previous posts stating that every nation has the same problem with whether trade should triumph over morals.
However, I should point out that IF those figures contained HK-based business, I am not at all surprised that the UK figure is larger than other EU nations.

@RossEdwards. It will only take one or two more countries to exit the EU or the Euro to collapse under the burden of debt and the whole EU house of cards will collapse.

Hopefully then you will change your mind about the EU, although I doubt that you will, just as the Remainers in the UK still do not accept that we have at long last left the EU.

I wonder which country will be next.... Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, perhaps France if Le Pen were to succeed Napoleon Macron.

As a matter of interest I personally have business interests in the UK as well as in several European countries and I can assure you that the negative influence of the EU on my European business units by far exceeds any negative impact of BREXIT on my UK or European business units.
