I'll up it one notch: If you need to ask these questions, should you really be putting your money at risk?

I mean, one thing is playing ball with your own opinion and that of others, coming on here literally screaming "I have no fking clue what's going on, someone please save me" is just sad, and makes me pray they didn't actually put their pension or kid's college funds on the line for what is at best a fickle mistress, and at worst a femme fatal.

To be fair, with all the shining beacons maintaining their own threads on basically everything FX (and non-FX) here at FF, it's still the best place to be in my humble opinion. But yeah, the crap ratio has certainly increased over the years

I do try to explain, or at least offer my opinion, if someone asks a valid question, but "OMG UP OR DOWN???!" just isn't one of those.

Maybe we should try harder.

I texted my brother Friday after the 1000 point blow off top (DOW) and suggested he rebalance and hedge his retirement accounts. He texted me today...he didn't do it. It was really really cheap Friday to hedge with puts. Now it's expensive not just in price but also in the losses to his accounts. He was all happy Friday because he was within 1% of where things were in January. ("Here's your sign.")

To support the flow of credit to households and businesses, over coming months the Federal Reserve will increase its holdings of Treasury securities and agency residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities at least at the current pace to sustain smooth market functioning, thereby fostering effective transmission of monetary policy to broader financial conditions. In addition, the Open Market Desk will continue to offer large-scale overnight and term repurchase agreement operations. The Committee will closely monitor developments and is prepared to adjust its plans as appropriate.

I thought money supply going up, confirmed 120 billion a month purchases of securities and cut its benchmark short-term rate to near zero would spur stocks on.

Then again everyone has been ultra bullish last few weeks so perfect time for big boys to sell up

It is not that just losers ask questions in FF...Regardless of trading I do wonder how is possible that 4.5mill population country NZ has one of strongest currencies in the world...11 days in row going up...what NZ has to offer to world to have such strong NZD...Maybe you know?

FED was quiet about the GDP and Unemployment rate why? well since they are investing more in the security and intending to keep interest rate as low as possible we will see USD back to normal after 2 to 3 weeks for now EURo is picking the propaganda weakness until we see actual change in consumer sentiment,,,Bearish USD for 2 weeks
