This is a good TMA indi doesnt repaint a lot.Just play around with the settings for your pleasure i have used it on 1 and 5 minute for entrys together with the RSI and you can start small and awerage in....Not much use for it with the renkos...Much better than your channel Mtinifx because your channel repainst i belive atleast all channel indis i tried have repainted a lot...

So after a few retries and a little hick up last week, I have finally completed January again! January 2.0!

I will say this, on paper this strategy seems easy enough, but once you start it you realize that it is far from easy! I guess that's why no one I know of or heard of has ever completed it. Well that's not to say its not possible, but its not easy!

That being said the first failed attempts has been an invaluable learning curve for me and hopefully moving forward I can keep the momentum till the end.

For those that are wondering why I have set my TE to private it is due to finding out that some people were trying to copy trade from it and I don't want to be responsible for anyone's loses if I lose.

I would never advise to copy trades from anyone's TE as it is delayed and you might think you getting in at the same time, but you're not. Don't take the risk cos if you lose you only have yourself to blame for taking such a shortcut. There's no shortcuts in trading, better to learn to do it yourself than piggy back off someones else efforts!

Well a very nice day today and well on the way to recovering my losses for this week - only $20 to go! Was actually 50 % down at one stage due to scalping sickness so particularly pleased to have ended the day 57% up

Amazingly enough I'm using an old EA which I've had for years and it's really paid dividends over the last few days. It's great to open one's trading account and see that one is another few dollars or more up. Should have had a whole lot more though if I had not closed the trades way too prematurely!

Where's everyone?

Well guys I am almost back to BE for the week - very gratifying as I had only $50 left on Wednesday! Today it's thanks to TMA

Using my old trustworthy TMA channel - although it tends to repaint, generally follows the rules - repainting mainly occurs against the trend of course!

Having to trade a 100 lots in the last month of this plan can really make anyone lose their sleep!

Anyone else in this? How's everyone coping?

US news was great for Gold but I wasn't watching

Anyway 1% up on the week - sounds bad but after almost wiping myself out Monday/Tuesday, I'm more then happy

NO more trading for today except maybe on my FTMO trial account.

Let's see if I can really get going next week on the actual challenge side!!

Welcome Bluesky - I wouldn't worry too much about that now - if and when you actually get to that stage then you can worry!

Well I managed 56% on Thursday and 17% today so 5% a day should be eezy peezy in theory. It's when one tries to go for too much and starts over - leveraging, then the problems often start. One has to have the right attitude when one starts having a few losses. It's vital to stop trading and rather come back tomorrow. The market is always going to offer new opportunities tomorrow

I would also say that (in my experience) trading after 3.00pm UK time is more often then not very dangerous because often this when the sharks are biting!

5% per day sounds easy enough. It's all to do with consistency I suppose. No good having a great day one day and then wiping oneself out the next day! That's why I've cut right back on leverage and just trying to trade responsibly. I use TMA which I find very helpful.

I've mentioned before that I don't really like trading on Fridays, but if I see something good I'll trade it. Well today I "saw" some good buying opportunities on USD and stupid me I forgot to check that there was USD retail news today which sent my positions into drawdown causing a margin call on the account. Luckily thanks to price pulling back and some smart cost averaging I managed to recover and close for a profit. Done for today!

Managing 56% in a day is a great feat to me in my opinion and I totally agree on the point that one has to be very disciplined when it comes to trading. Chasing after losses is a definitely a no-no, which was the very trap which I fell into when I first started.

It does come down though to having a very sound and tested trading system as well as some trading experience although I have to say that it's so very easy to fall into those bad habits time and time again which lead to blowing one's account

The market/banks very cleverly try to get RT's to open trades against the trend. It's snakeish but that's how they make their profits of course. Yesterday for instance on GU there were at least 3 occasions when that occurred (blue boxes). And it worked because I like to check old posts on threads like "cable update" and "Daily Trading ideas" and it's amazing to see how many were trying to buy GU throughout the day!

I use three indi's but just using ema cross it's fairly easy to see that there were no buys available after Frankfurt open except a few scalps but that is so dangerous IMHO

Hi guys

Well I got 10% today so far but it's been a very frustrating morning with countertrends on GBP pairs and sideways movement on Gold

Not sure if I might call it a day. Blue Monday

I have decided to move my TE to "myfxbook" but I will post my results every evening (European evening). This is mainly because I don't want people to see all my bad trading!

Changed my mind - oh boy! Just made the visibility "buddies only"

Definitely finished for the day 66% up now on the day after US session got me going

well i am running a martingale EA and my first day using it EUR/USD went haywire so i needed to trade manually to get out of that 177% ADR on EU and the MM just pushed and pushed upwards if they had made one more push i would margincalled so now i hope this was the move for the week,but there is a weak dollar that makes the markets jump i guess also not only the marketmakers that is doing some manip,But i am up 11.25% today even i had 44% Drawdown that is waaaay to much,but i was able to pull out with some profit even balance had over 200 dollars profit i had to give back most of it....Green pips guys even mine are very negative to day,but money is positive and that is what counts....
