here are my thoughts on which TF to use :
There are many advantages of trading on D1 or higher (i'm not talking about scalping which is another topic):
-1) the enemy is the spread : with a spread of zero, it would be easier to be profitable
if you trade less and have bigger profits the spread becomes less important so you need a weaker edge to be profitable
-2) on small TFs, a crash can make you lose a lot very quickly without you getting the time to react. If you trade on D1, then a crash is just another ripple in the price, no big consequences, and you can react hours after
-3) you're not on your PC for hours trading every day. You trade once per day/week, and that's enough
now there are also advantages to trade on smaller TFs:
-1) the DD is smaller because price oscillates less before you make profit/loss and close your trade
-2) the profits are higher, because you profit on every little turn of the price, rather than one big trade on D1 for instance
what are your thoughts, and what TF are you using ?
