Trade crypto. It's open 24/7/365. Not sure if that's a blessing or a curse for a trader lol.

Either BACK-TEST, analyse... or REST to be honest...
I like it very much when the market is closed... In fact when it closes, I can finally rest for the week..
I do not watch market all the time.. but I still much prefer to have NO OPEN trades over the weekend.
I also try to avoid trading around the holidays etc... If possible, I would not trade for example LAST WEEK of the year... or
1-2week after of the new year...
As I say, if I would prefer to trade intensely for 3months... than later just (de)leverage, cherry-pick, or berry-select the trades...
And after that.. would just select only the most certain trades...
Resting is very important in any area... This goes for in learning, bodybuilding, business.... everywhere...

I could also give you some alternative answers... the problem is if you have the TRADE BUG/moment and the market is CLOSED... but you would still like to SCRATCH your NAILS as the cat... then what I did in the past is... trading crypto

Just to break the ice a little... Some traders just WAIT for market to open again Like this
Although some markets are not close.. there are many sites where you can place your "bets" for certain markets...
So in reality you can always trade... Planning, analysing.. or checking sites that have some in-direct trading options..
Some brokers were basically never closed in the past, OANDA for example. There was a massive spread over the weekend, but it was not closed, you could place an order... All that changed when USA got triple A downgraded (2011) and market was MOVING over the weekend, I bet they lost big money at the time... I think it was exactly or not long after that... that they decided to completely DISABLE the trading option (entering the market right there) over the weekend and certain (holi)days...

Basically if I traded like CHEETAH.... I love doing NOTHING... nothing planned, nothing, just random, by the wind.... to balance the tight, scheduled, focused, almost robotic week... Silence and solitude also helps a lot to restore the batteries... But hey, some PARTY now and then or in moderation...
Many WS guys have this "prescription" to BALANCE their CRAZY week(s)... This is not even a joke, contrary to what people think...
TO LOOSE a litle
If you want it to be easy... you would be far better in the medical school (joke from "Billions (TV) 2016+) series
Trading is one of the hardest professions in the world.. REAL trading, not fake one (liquidity provider, filling orders or even corporate raiding, mergers or just money making money, (value/activist investing..)... but TRADING as we know it... PREDICTING the future (without (much) insides... It is border "divine" profession when many get smashed, no matter how smart, knowledgeable, tough.... It takes toughest, smartest, hungriest.. and even those dream of getting out of the racket ASAP, to park in something more stable... but YES still trade on the side, for SURPLUS, bonus etc...

I am favorite pet of my wife & daughter ON WEEKENDS ..in complete control of my HOME MINISTER UNDER HER TOTAL COMMAND ..help her for getting things done as do not like to be disturbed on WEEKDAYS
also interesting 
, but I think Family is the most important thing so it's good to spent time with family.
