An update: we should have a 1st retrace at 1324 to 1303 then a 2nd move up to 1344/5 with extension to 1364.

I agree with you, just close some position when it reach 1318, now it retrace back and have just open new OP hopefully it reach 132x area as a TP

Yeah my target also is around 1300, this current move is out of control and all based on emotions
It can fall hard without any signal
I regret closed my sell on USDCAD to free up some margin to sell Gold

Gold was/is on a good rise today, same as EUR (vs USD).. I would be careful at setting a trend(line) based on this..
We shall see if this trend (I would not bet on it) in the next days or maximum weeks.
I always watch not to be fooled by the (temporary) glamour

But as I have already said... when buying gold (lets say, without leverage)... the worst that it can happen is that you are "stuck" with a wonderful asset
Shorting it is a different story however...
Can you afford to take that chance?

Hey All,

And finally we get some movement. Fridays upward move shot passed a hardened trend line as well as clearing the last Daily chart swing high of 1303.36. I initiated a trade with a fill @ 1306.082. I have a Take profit of 1346.082. That is just below this years high in February of 1346.74. Secure stop @ 1310.00 which make this trade safe.

Is price really going to get that high? I have no idea. Some have been arguing with all the trade tension and market uncertainty that money is flowing into the safe haven. I do not see it that way. Gold has been slumping for 3 months. The last 2 days have been the most upward momentum of over 3% since December 2018 and December 2017 before that, see a trend there? Personally I think this move is a mix of Short sellers cashing in as well as some position taking. The news of Tariffs with Mexico, the Chinese puffing their chests about fighting with the USA as well as higher tensions with Iran are all making some traders skidish about equities and placing some funds into Gold.

We shall see if price hits my target.

Eventually broke the exaggerated channel, wait for correction then sell, it's emotional move, be careful
My target for sell and the buying zone is around 50% of Fib ($ 1300)
