my own interpretation.
if this is a h4 chart:
1. if my entry is based on h4, then it would at close of bar 3 close above or below the set up line OR the retrace to the set up line and is valid candles later.
2. or i can drill down to h1 to do my entries after h1 close above or below the set up line.

easy. nobody can make the decision for you.
if this is a retracement, either
1 you miss it.
or
2 enter above the candle close if you consider it close enough to the setup line, since this is a pin bar.
or
3 you eyeball yourself and consider whether that it is a 'good candle' above the set up line in lower time frame.

if you want to, the set up line can thus be considered a zone, not a single line. forex is not an exact science anyway.

Hi simoneg. I have been reading your thread with great interest. Your technique is really impressive and I say this after reading many other threads over quite a long period of time. I have to admit that I'm still having trouble understanding how to define the rejection areas(initially I thought they're simple support/resistance levels) but thanks to swingman's indicator I don't have this problem any longer. I would like you to comment on this short entry I just made on NZDUSD. I had doubts since this 123 pattern formed just above a d1/w1 best buy level. I looked then at H4 and I noticed that my entry is near and old h4 best sell level so this kind of encouraged me to proceed with the sell order. Thank you.

Thank you emadmax! That's a great setup and entry. Those old levels give good hints as to whether the trend will continue!

I have a question I should have asked earlier.

The historical level calculations are they ;

1) based on the same time last year or
2) something else

so for example; historical best buy/sell H1 is it based on same time yesterday/last week/last month/last year
historical best buy/sell H4 is it based on same time yesterday/last week/last month/last year
and so on and so forth

Hi Rafaz,

Just about starting my day. I'm not quite clear on your question. These are specific levels. For instance the Best BUY is the Low of the Highest Bullish bar at a Swing high Vice Versa for the Best Sell. Hope I have answered your question.
