Yep wait for some proper momentum, you want to see that last leg bake with confidence to avoid fakes. I am focusing mostly on equities over next few days until the holiday season expires and liquidity returns to FX along with some drama. Turkish lira the only one to keep eye on.

Markets faded near the close, nothing came into play. DIS was semi decent one but didnt bother too much with it.

Yes, Ken i usually dont use as wide SLs as there is no need for it, the overall statistical data says that using SL wider than 50% of last leg is not needed, or to say it other way its counter-productive. The reason why i used low for SL in that setup is because last high was quite substentially higher than previous deep LL, and the distance overall was not that great thus i placed SL bellow there, and scaled position around that distance.

But using 50% of last leg as SL would have been just as fine, getting stopped out on loss, and then reentering on takeout on last high and covering second one for gain, especially since last 2 highs built a solid overall symmetry towards whole supply.

Impressive Turkish liras volatility just keeps expanding without a breath . Currency is entering hyperinflationary stages according to text book play, even though that % wise to dollar atm its not that critical yet, but thing is inflationary parabolers once it reaches vertical state it goes really quickly, then it starts to print 10% losses a week or even a day.

Yesterdays move printing largest decline so far recorded for lira, with another emergency move from central bank, slam dunking the 5.5X with liquidity tightening.

Volatility bear legs expanding at progressing exponential curve. Text book performance of currency on its death row. On macro side nothing has changed for the play, finding micros on M1-M15 along macro direction still remains in play.

Sure EN looks like a potential play, but make sure you have plenty of alerts set, you dont want to be checking or watching H4 play too often. Spread alerts across strategically based on your expectations of how and what price should do.

For example if you dont like the strenght of current last leg (not strong enough), then a good thing to do is to place alert near lows, rather than at the highs, otherwise youll just get distrubed without reason. When weak move is into highs (current example is so so) then placing counter alert on other side is better so that you make sure the structure bakes one more leg at least and give that leg a chance to have momentum.

Small tips like that save a lot of time, a lot of frustration and a lot of useless chart watching.

SN tried to get filled on both ask stacks...no fills. That is how proper demand collapse looks like, demand drys fully to extent where there are no more market buyers, and only sellers keep throwing orders at ask and getting filled, and one simply cannot get filled on shorts unless throwing market order all the time ahead of the curve.
When demand dries the asset cannot bounce anymore, as shown on asset there were barely any larger than 1 up tick bounces.
The key is to be patient in such case and catch the crash when the first bump of buyers finally come in at exhaustion when it hits parabolic state.

Hi Charvo,

nice to see somebody looking at the HTF. In fact i took that trade on EURGBP and in the last 2 weeks we got a lot of H4 setups. As you can see from my TE more than 11% gain with 0.4% max DD. Very relaxed way of trading checking charts 3-5 times a day each time 5-10 min. All trades with SL. TP open. I post some here

i have some time during day to study and test. but i have very limited time trading LIVE partly due to my poor timezone, partly due to busy life........

as JP pointed out last week, a trader should not expect much if he spends only 15 minutes checking charts everyday......lol
i'm more certain that trading HTF like your way may help me better. i'd be appreciative to see more of your HTF posts.
