GU offer stack around 20/25 min's ago.. m1/m5. seeing this right or need level 2?

Was not quite sure at realtime because obviously we don't see the order's but played out well.

Technically to 100% confirm bid or offer stack yes you do need level 2. But you do not need level 2 order to trade stacks profitably, the key is to have extremely tight SL on them and even if you guessed wrong (ie thought was offers that stacking but in reality the bids were stronger) you should be able to be profitable as long as you get it at least 50% right.

The stack you noted is potential play setup but mind that in bid or ask stacks you want a bit more candles, lets say if that stack had double the number of candles you could consider it. The reason why is becouse you want as much order flow to build over time as possible to have a proper liquidation leg once it breaks, thus price needs to stall as long as possible around same price (but also not too long otherwise its likely that stack has happened due to inactivity of trading). So basically ahead of stack you want to see strong movements and volatility with momentum, and then the stack with lets say 10 candles or more. And always remember if stack is really strong, always have an SL , becouse no matter which way the order flow breaks in some cases it will be large volatility explosion, so dont get caught with pants down.

Also in equities some ask or bid stacks are just not worth looking at, especially those with low liquidity becouse you just wont get filled. In FX however that is never the case, there is always enough liquidity to get filled.
