Here is the GA, where there are lots of possibilities in the coming week. The GA is poised to do something, even if it stays in the range. The ATR on this pair is about 150, but trending down. I have the A$ likely to continue to move south, and the G$ in a triangle with a likely move down before up. The banks might tell us something within 24 hours as they set up their week. Let's see what happens, but my bias is to trade the structure until the b/o above is confirmed.

I tried my best to clean up this thread to get it back on topic. Nothing personal to anyone's posts I disliked just don't want this thread to turn into a hockey game (fight).

Back to my simple system to help new traders. If you look at this chart, ADX is flat but above 40 and tilting up a little with both +DI and -DI falling. A look at the OSMA MACD tells same story, the histogram is falling while the moving averages are rising. Next few days we should be range trading, buying lower BB touch, selling upper BB touch. I also have an area of interest in the purple channel, it has a slight upward bias and I will also use bounces off this channel for buy/sell activity.

These are 2 opposite views so one at a time.

It's Easy. This view is not a bad view unless it leads to what I call the Superman (or Wonder Woman) syndrome. This is when you have so much confidence in your ability that you think you are the smartest, most awesome, make no mistakes trader. Then you start trading other pairs, or other signals you never use, and then profitable trading account goes in the other direction, sometimes in one big baaa-whoosh, down the lou. Be ever vigilant not to let a long winning streak pump ideas of invincibility into your head. Take a holiday instead.

It's Hard. I don't think this needs much explanation. People tend to gravitate away from hard work in life and if something is hard to do, you just don't do it. Eventually you will become part of the "no one can make money at this game" crowd and join the disgruntled forum members who spread their negativity around and start infecting good traders who have not learned to ignore the foolish nay-sayers.

Hi Billy,

I've been reading some of your posts and your thread (superficially, sorry: too many pages...) and I have a question (If I may): When your breakout of 5 pips doesn't get to TP, retraces and touches the high of the 15 minute candle, you then open an opposite (same lot) trade, right? So you have a trade in limbo and wait for the next day breakout to offset the limbo because you have stats that tell you, more often than not, that a breakout for high/low of a 08:00 (15min) candle is significant (at least 5 pips) and likely... all you have to adjust is your lot size and you have to have the bank for it...

Is that it, Sir? Because if it is you must have nerves of steel...

It’s an unwritten rule of trading forums that every thread becomes derailed from the original subject, within the first half a dozen posts. It’s also an unwritten rule that weapons and tools generally hijack each thread, to push their own lame agenda.

IG, CMC, CITY INDEX, PLUS500 etc, wtf, they’re all the same. For example, that chart you posted, with its indicative pricing, whilst we accept that FX markets are unregulated and that price comes from different venues, these firms make up their own prices during their own time, in order to stiff clueless day traders.

If you insist on spread betting then don’t bet on FX and only swing/position trade. And if you try to day trade using a spread of two pips with a stop of 8 pips and a take profit target of between 5-10 pips, then you might as well piss your money down the drain, as you will be flushed and rinsed, repeatedly. In fact it’d be rude not to pick you off behind the scenes, to reward your stupidity.

So you’re another control freak, who thinks they own a piece of FF real estate. And despite this thread now being way off the original title, you’re not correcting that issue, in fact you’re adding to the chaos with an indicator based strategy, that many of us would have laughed at, before the birth of internet trading. The 'scams' provide a framework for new traders to build off of. Some systems are more advanced than others. It's only a 'scam' when someone thinks they're going to be handed a complete system and not have to develop and improve it themselves after they gain more experience in the markets. Accusing a little-league coach of teaching kids how to handle a ball as 'scamming' them into believing they're all going to become professional players is just a little ignorant of how professional players learn to play ball.

That's unfair analogy... What about this:
When I was in school my "history" teacher didn't know well about history... I didn't care actually, because I am more of "mechanic-minded"... But it was very hard for some people who were in need of historical knowledge to make there way to high school.And I always was hearing from them only one complain-" How the hell I will get knowledge from him if he doesn't have it himself?!"
If kids are playing ball, they apparently deal with the risk of not get to pro level and this mostly will depend on how hard they want it, it's sports...the GOOD coach is mere 30% of success.
But in trading, it doesn't matter how hard you try, if your coach suck you will also, because you can't gain knowledge from someone who doesn't have it.

If you're listening to a coach and you aren't getting the desired results then you should pursue other coaches. This isn't school; you aren't required to sit around all day and follow one guy.

And that's not true. It can be done without a coach; having a good one makes it easier but that doesn't mean a trader can't figure it out themselves in a void. I put thousands of hours into watching price move; I only turned to others to find information that matched my experiences so I could group them and simplify them into a more structured understanding. To be the best you don't need to learn from the best. You just need to learn what not to do from enough of the worst. Then challenge yourself to do it better.

No such thing. Some things come quick and easy while others come slow and difficult. No time is wasted if it's a journey to success. And most things that lead to success won't come from a single teacher.

What you're saying is "it could've been quick and easy in retrospect". But if someone's getting into the game because they want it to be quick and easy from the start; they're doomed.
