Gold is near daily high while Silver is near low, why is that? Meanwhile the dollar index is low and Dow Jones declined a lot today. All in all it feels like a good place to try a long on Silver again.

Although Gold and Silver usually follow each other Silver will often follow stock indices instead. Gold goes its own way most of the times.

If stocks continue to drop it could be signalling a slowing of the economy at some point down the line, which would it turn mean a slowing in industrial demand for Silver. On the flip side the current panic selling brings out buyers for Gold.

It should get settled out soon enough. But unless stocks recover I would stay away from Silver - other than to get short.

During last two months correlation between gold and stocks moved to from strongly negative to strongly positive (on daily chart).

Yes, based on historical, price always go up when chinese new year.. after a little bit correction (1325 maximum 1305) gold will up....... IMO

btw my SL 1366 friend, so if up $10, $20 or $25 its ok, no problem
and now my first TP already hit at 1328

still have 1 short from 1344 with SL+ 1334, and the target TP 1305

I am looking at Silver again. It is stubbornly testing the support around 16.60 - 16.50 and depending on the fundamentals this week it may breakout below it.

Shorts on xagusd closed at 16.603

1hr oversold - likely to bounce up to 16.75 before continuing the selloff.
4hr still got legs to move down, a break of 16.60 will see us at 16.30
daily still got legs to move down
