Gold did not test 1325 level. It broke the resistance area and shooting up. Long would be best trade setup for all.

Hi all, back from break and my first trade of 2018 opened this week.

Currently short XAGUSD from 17.382, targeting a break below 17.000

Basing my position on a severely oversold USDX and an overstretched EURUSD on the short term charts.

Positioned high leverage, with tight stop loss at 17.43

MACD, Stoch are starting to diverge and pricing is working against the 'indicators' signally we may start to gain momentum in the next trading session.

Good to see you back. I assume the position you are taking is of a shorter term nature consistent with the USDX and EURUSD short term chart action. I understand that most people here focus mainly on technical analysis, but I suspect the increase in US bond yields overnight reflects on China in particular reducing its US bond purchases. The Fed has already triggered the counter to allow the USD to decline further by holding interest rates flat again - pretty much the ultimate tool in reducing the USA's enormous debt.

Hi Vita, yes I am positioned for a short term trade, I typically stay in a position for 24hrs - 5 days. I do not scalp on shorter term timeframes, I only look at 1hr-daily charts to determine by entries and understand that I do not always catch the top or bottom of a move, rather I look for the divergences and momentum changes.

Short is looking healthy. Watching if we bounce from here or continue to break down.

If you are long be cautious of the big spike on the USDX it may drive gold down if we hold above 89usdx

looking for the break on 17.00xagusd and for gold to push through 1335 and test 1330.

Someone here was laughing I am posting the wrong H4 chart. As you can see tops and bottoms are the only important thing on charts. The middle price and the timing are the second next important thing...

Now, a weekly channel low price touch usually means two things:

A. a bounce (probably some wide range, like in Oct'17-Nov'17)
B. a trend change (serious)...

Do not know which one it will be. Money on the table can flip the direction at any given moment...
