Accurate above 80%?

Hello guys, i am mostly busy into my work and often get lesser time to trade, but i have willing to invest money and i am also a capable trader, but unfortunately due to lack of time, i am never able to analysis things properly, so is there any system or EA that you have used or using that have accuracy above 80%? Please suggest only one that you have personal experience with instead of any random ones.... Thanks.

EA? I don't know. What I believe to be sure is there are traders with 80+% accuracy (i.e., win/loss ratio). So, the issue is not systems (which translated into EAs), but users of any system.

Of course there are. I have 2 EAs one which does consistently over 80% and one that does 100% never loses. The one that never loses only trades a few times a year, with a tight take profit (not much return and its a long time to run a vps just for a few trades a year.) I would be 150 yrs old before i could compound it enough to make me rich. the 80% one has high equity drawdown. High risk. To use it at all I would have to monitor it full time. So you see. It's not just about accuracy. Its about the system, entry and exit criteria. Even if the coding is done very well. If the system is not as good as imagined, you lose.

Accuracy is not that important. You could have a system that is right 80% of the time and still lose money. For many systems accuracy is just a function of how tight your stop loss and profit target are. So if you were to take a basic moving average cross over and make the stop loss 20X of the target profit you would get a system that has a very high accuracy but will lose money, because the losses will be so much bigger than the wins. How much back-testing have you done to find a strategy that will work for you?

If your going to trade you need to take the time to learn and apply some effort ive never had any luck with eas so i dont bother using them

If you find an EA with 80% win ratio i am willing to pay anything to buy it. I will even trade my house for it.

Judging the winning probablity is different over 3 trades, or 300 trade, 3 days or 3 years. The longer the testing period the better it reflects (a good system)

It's would gives a better picture when it compares with growth and DRAW DOWN at a minimum time period of 6 months or so.

That isnt such a bad thing.
Most lose money over trading.
Dont worry about EA's most are hoaxes and the successful ones need constant adjusting.
You should concentrate on fundamentals rather than technicals for this type of trade.
Focus on longer term with a smaller position that allows big swings against you.

I am not sure about trading EA, but you can use copy or PAMM trading service! But, to be honest automatic trading services are not any reliable way of money making! All of pro traders handle their live trading account manually! Here, more than 90% traders are losers, so try to understand how much different it is to manage a pro trader!

Well look like I'm really late here. Anyway, this is for those who are interested in the same question as threadstarter.

First of all I am not a professional trader, but after going through 9 years of pain I do consider myself experienced enough to offer you my opinion. The fact is that you do not need to be right on 80% of your trades to make money. High win rate has got nothing to do with profitability. In fact, chasing high win rates will cause you to lose money.

I've seen some trade explorers here with win rate over 90% but counter-intuitively they're all losing money, I mean really big money.

The reason why that happens is because they have the tendency to hold on to their losing trades, no doubt hoping that the losses will eventually reverse back to profit, instead they got too large and fatal. Meanwhile I've also noticed whenever their positions are in profit, they will quickly close them out such that in the end, their trading results are made up of many many tiny profits with few but devastating large losses. Their losses are such that one losing trade can wiped out 20 to 30 of their past winning trades, ensuring their account's demise. Sure they actually did got their high win rate but that comes at the price of their accounts.

Professional traders can make money with only 30% win rate or less because they understand the importance of managing their losing and profitable trades. Take Peter Brandt for example, he has been trading since 1970s, moving from the open outcry Pit to computer. His strategy has only about 20% to 30% win rate his annual audited turnover is around 40%. What's more remarkable is that unlike newbies who usually risk around 2% or more per trade, he's risking only around 0.25% to 0.10% per trade.

The thing I learned from the pros is that to be profitable in trading, you have to ensure that over a large number of trades, the profits coming from winning trades will offset the losses from losing trades. To do that, just like any businesses you must learn to cut your losses short and let your profits run. Unfortunately as described by me above, this is the exact opposite of what most traders aiming for high win rates do.

What do you mean by "accuracy"?

Are you talking about win rates?

There are definitely both systems and EA's that have win rates well above 80%. But what they all have in common is that sooner or later they'll blow your account because the occasional losses are huge and their risk-management is crazy.

It's very easy to come up with a system with a win rate well above 80%. All you'd need to do, for example, is enter trades randomly with with a 2-pip target and a 50-pip stop-loss. The win rate would be well over 80% but obviously the system would lose a fortune in the long run. That's a gross example, but systems and EA's with win rates over 80% are doing subtler variations of this same thing.

Beginners' trading books explain - sometimes with examples - why it's much easier to make long-term profits out of a system with a 40% win rate than it is from an 80% win rate. It's a little more complicated than you'd expect.

It's very, very, very important to understand this clearly, and the reasons for it, before starting your search, otherwise you'll find it easily but turn out to have been looking for completely the wrong thing.
