Quoting ycompDislikedMy ISP's server works fine.. .but I need to do authentication (i.e. type in the user name and password)
This might sound stupid but make sure those services you tried work in your email client first.
There are many reasons why it might not work. For instance, if I were to try to send mail from my other ISP's server that does not require authentication, then there is no way it will work if I am logged into another ISP when I try to send mail via their server (even though I am a customer). I mean they will only take requests from people who are accessing their SMTP Server when using their dsl network.Ignored
