Hi,
I recently started attempting to download some clean data from Dukascopy. I began my journey reading this thread: https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=768940
I downloaded StrategyQuant and got some data converted and installed into a copy of MT4. Unfortunately my EA doesn't recognize the data and shoots right through it. I'm thinking the currency pair suffix _ may be the problem. The application's website does offer a potential fix but I've yet to perform it as it looks a bit daunting..
I've also looked at Tickstory but for some reason I don't like the idea of launching MT4 from the Tickstory application. I would feel like I have eyes watching my trading. Too suspicious?
I also have an issue with Dukascopy having 7 trading days of data. I need 5 trading days on New York timezone GMT+2(+3 DST) or my EA will go wacko.
Would any kind soul have advice on the most efficient method of making my endeavor a reality or should I just stick with my broker's 40% modeling quality.
Thanks,
SD
