Dislikedhi there was looking at your site and your fxbook you say you would only risk 25% of your account but you only gain 3-4% a month surely if you lose just once it would take nearly a year to recover?. Cheers PaulIgnored
Every strategy has its pros and cons. As far as mine is concerned, what might look like an obvious risk/reward disproportion on the surface, in reality is a conscious trade-off between probability and consistency. I will allow a relatively deep (probable) drawdown in exchange for much higher probability consistent month on month returns. The actual monthly return is about 7% at the moment, if you take August and December out as holiday months, and there is an occasional high return month, once or twice a year.
With time, as compounding kicks in, the growth gradually speeds up and gets really exciting fast, as I have already demonstrated with one of my accounts here: https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...7#post11274157.
There is, of course, much more to the strategy than a simple money management trick that everyone and their dog knows about.
If you find anyone else who has been generating a consistent month on month profit for the past 2+ years, and has live stats to show, do let me know. The more the merrier.
