I have found this forum so extremely helpful. I'm from Jamaica and there are quite a few....I don't even know what to call them other than investment funds. Giving you x%....Usually between 5 and 20% per month. Trading has really taken off here in Jamaica.
I got pulled into a MTI/Jared Martinez course by a friend and it was a good course. I learned a whole lot about the tip of the iceberg. I was demo trading before and did nothing but lose money because I had no idea what I was doing. Just jumped in and bought and sold. Hit and miss, coin toss kinda thing.
I took the course and it did help. I started to have a method to my trading. I never seemed to be able to make any money but never really lost any. After some stupid over leveraging moves and losing a little over 1k I really followed the rules and and made it all back but at a physical expense I don't want to continue to endure as a "trader". I was staring at charts and drawing fibs for 8-12 hours a day for over a month. Everyone started asking if I had taken up smoking weed because of my red eyes.
Thoughout I probably have had about 15 epiphanies along the way and thought...."I've got this!" only to be bit in the @$$ by over leveraging and bad money management.
After reading this forum I realize the path Jared was leading me down wasn't for me. I have experimented with several "systems" and I'm working with one now that seems to be working the best of all I've tried.
The key I've realized to hanging on to your money is proper money management. It's repeated so often here. Maybe some of us will actually listen. Leverage (on an account that can't handle it) is evil.
I'm enjoying it so far
