Quoting ZedHashPipDislikedEspecially following paragraph made me LMAO!:
FXCM never freezes its prices. FXCM quotes aggressively at all times, giving traders a fair chance to TRADE during MARKET NEWS.
Other brokers do not allow you to trade on big market making news -- they freeze their prices or widen their spreads when the market is volatile. 80% of FX volume occurs during the busiest times, thus, it defeats the purpose of tight spreads to have them only during “normal” market conditions.
Is this for real?
I hope this a new policy that they are persuing. I'm looking forward to the next highly anticipated news release!!!Ignored
QuoteDisliked*FXCM maintains fixed spreads during normal market conditions.
** All stop-loss, limit and entry orders are guaranteed against slippage except in extraordinarily volatile market conditions. All quotes and trades are subject to the terms and conditions of the Client Agreement accessible through this website.
It's kind of like "We never ever slip .... except for those times that everyone else does. But, we never ever widen our spreads ... except when we think the market is not quite normal." Their statements are a nice balance of aggressive marketing with CYA (Cover Your A**) legal work. Love it!
