A common piece of advice when starting out is to trade during active sessions such as the US and London Overlap 8am - 12 pm session however I personally find this a more challenging period of time to trade, particularly short term scalping. This is often the fastest moving time period, there is a lot of news, big banks putting money into trades, it is very easy for stops to get hit and to see spikes from breaking news since most reports come out between 8-12 pm EST.
It is the time when the most money is being moved thus the most money can be made but does anyone else find it better to trade their systems during more quiet hours that produce movement but at a slower pace, such as Asia/Euro sessions? Do you find it easier to trade during these times since price doesn't move as fast?
