I tested it on DJI30 M1 with the Amplitude = 1, and it does repaint.
To be exact, we sometimes see the arrow appearing and disappearing even when it's on Bar[1], or Bar[2], or I even saw it do that over 4 Bars until it settled. The EA looks for the Arrow on Bar[1], so if it detects the Arrow, even when it's blinking, the EA will open a position.
On the other hand, there was also a situation when a reverse Arrow was blinking, and the EA didn't detect it on Bar[1], because it wasn't there on the minute, and it didn't close the floating Buy position.

The indicator posted here is practically indentical to the one posted earlier by @Hercs.

So, please provide a reliable, stable indicator which actually will not repaint!
Otherwise we can never get reliable consistency, and this would be the first step to potential profiatbility.

I have a few versions available for the HalfTrend . This nrp one does not say who the coder is either so that I can ask Mladen directly. I will however attempt to get through to MrTools for verification and get back to you.
Attached please find for your interest these 3 for your kind perusal and comments.

On a different note, here is the coding for the calling of the SMA-Hi and Low:
This in itself tells me as a non-coder that it will repaint because it is not on close. When you run it on OPEN for instance, it also repaints, hence my "close"-version.

Lastly, it is interesting to hear that a tradable condition can appear on the first candle which can add value to this indicator. The idea of the up=1 and down=1 was to set a 1 as part of the long trade directions and direct after the trade conditions was met, the 1 is changed to a 0 to prevent a second trade in the same direction.
Kindly comment on this, please.

I already know this, and:
1. The idea of trading the arrow signal on the current bar (Bar[0]) is not a good idea at all.
2. I have already made the MTF version to return EMPTY_VALUE for Bar[0], so that there are no signals on Bar[0].
3. I don't have the problem of sending one order per direction, so there is no issue in that respect.

I could, absolutely, use the .ex4, but I'd rather work with the source code, so that I can make my own tweaks, if necessary.

The two indicators do not work exactly the same, so it's up to the user to figure out which is better with the EA.

So, I made it possible in the EA to select which one of the indicators to use as signal source.

Do not change the file name!!!

Otherwise:
I added:
"Use Ask/Bid Condition" - if true, the EA will use the "Trader's Trick", so:
- for Buy, Ask must be <= last Close;
- for Sell, Bid must be >= last Close;
"Maximum Spread Points Allowed";
The EA only manages trades which are identified by the "Magic Number" and Symbol.
The EA will ignore any positions without a Magic Number or with a different Magic Number than the one defined in the inputs.
And to make things clear, I will now, again, look at the logic:

OnInit():
- Check if the login process was successful;
- Check if IfTradeAllowed();
- Check if Fixed Lot meets the requirements of the symbol specifications;
- PreventNameChange();

OnTick():
- Check if the login process was successful;
- Check if Market is Open or Closed;
- Get the arrow buffer values from the indicator;

Buy Logic:
- There is a Buy Arrow on Bar[1];
- There is no Sell Arrow on Bar[1];
- "Trade Direction" is "Buy Only" or "Buy & Sell";
- If there are any Sell position floating (with the input Magic Number), these positions will be closed;
- The Ask/Bid Condition is checked, if it's true, or not - and applied if true;
- If there are no Buy positions floating (with the input Magic Number);
- Print("Arrow Up on Bar[1]..."); message is posted to the logs;
- Print("Arrow Up: "+DoubleToString(ArrUp,_Digits)); message is posted to the logs (checks the value of ArrUp);
- SL and TP are calculated;
- Check if spread meets the input limitations;
- An OrderSend() for a Buy position is sent;
- The order ticket is checked for errors and printed in the logs;

Sell Logic:
- There is a Sell Arrow on Bar[1];
- There is no Buy Arrow on Bar[1];

Please remember that the EA includes the Amplitude and the Timeframe for MTF inputs!!!
When using any of the indicators on the charts for comparison, or for checking, please make sure that the Amplitude and Timeframe setting are the same as in the EA. The EA doesn't need the indicators to be running on the chart.

Hi guys,

Hope everything is going well,

I have an indicator that I need a small change.

The indicator draws a line on the opening time of your choosing, 1 Hour, 15 min, 4 hour for example and this does not need to be changed

And

Draws a line at the closing price of a specified bar within your chosen range, such as 3, 10, or any number of bars. It identifies and marks the close of the largest bar within the selected period, determined by the (High - Low) * Volume calculation. For instance, if set to 10 bars, the line will appear at the close of the bar with the greatest spread multiplied by its volume over the last 10 periods.

What I will like is for the indicator to look for those types of bars but, instead of drawing the line on the close of the bar to draw teh line as follows:

If the bar Closes > Close[i+1] then the line is draw at the low of the bar

And

If the bar Closes < Close[i+1] then the line is draw at the high of the bar

Please can anyone do it.

Hi, this should do it. Assuming I correctly understood. I also made the timeframe input a drop-down, so no need to type in the timeframes.

Good day house,

Can somebody help look into this indicator and optimize it. It exhibits very strange and unstable behavior especially when moving between timeframes. As a result i find it difficult to rely on what i am seeing.

Hello Couder's: if anyone had a good weekend, I hope everyone did! I have this "tcci" indicator, and I wanted to put arrows and BT on it, I know there may be better things, but I always had the thorn of knowing how it would behave this way, if anyone takes pity on this request, I would be very grateful.

It was trading properly yesterday, at least with the MTF nrp indicator.
The first one is not stable, or IOW, it looks like it's working properly for many hours, and then, out of nowhere, I see the lines and arrows in some awkward places... No errors or anything.
