Dear Best Trader EV and other members who contributed ideas,
I am not a Coder, just a trader who seeks trading success like all of us and appreciates the contributions so far.
My strategy entry is more based on the Stepma indicator cross than the signals provided by the VQ indicator although the VQ is the indicator that I trust more for
directional bias, but I find that the arrow signals from VQ repaints initially.
My Son is a newbie at trying his hand at programming and I enclose herewith a screenshot of his effort for an EA marked "A"
He could only get to a certain point and couldn't go further as he lacked advanced coder skills.
He said the following: "On 1hour bar open the robot hunts and takes a lot of trades which kills profit, a breakeven system will solve the profit drawdown...trades will be taken but all will breakeven until it breaks out of that section and continue making profits" if a well versed Coder can solve that problem.
I also thank the Contributors MwlRCT and Im2trade23 for your ideas; not sure if Best Trader EV will consider your contributions.
If we could get an EA that exploits the market inefficiencies and follows trends profitably I think there could be great possibilities here, but it all depends on our gracious Coder who I think will be able to look at the Image attached and know immediately what my Son was trying to do.

LOL, you are imagining things.
Nobody has thought of this idea before???

It's as old as trading charts!!!

PS. This technique is called TTE (Trader's Trick Entry).

And what you are describing is also very basic - for example:
1. Wait for an Engulfing H1 Bar at some important SR Level,
2. Plot Fibonacci Expansions on the HL of the Engulfing Candle,
3. Go to lower Tf, even M1, and wit for Price Action at your favorite Fibo Level (50% or 61.8%),
4. Trade!

IOW, You have NOT invented anything new!
And if I code that into an EA, it will NOT be new, either.

I have already provided tools for this idea, on this thread, too!

Now, does this mean that You are going to Profit more than You Lose?

you mean get the signal on HTF then trade in LTF, using the fibo golden zone, is old as a chart? Yes, the idea is old, that is true.

Like you go in a corner shop to buy vegetables. But online Supermarket like Amazon is the first one offers you nearly everything from food to anything you thnk off like an empty jar, and ppl dont even need to go to any shop, that is what I mean they get the first podium, the money and the power killing all the corner, family run, brickandmortar shops.

I browsered must be over 2000 EAs, almost all of them they trade on the same TF as signal, even the latest AI modelled EA designed similarly, they do sofisticated, complex thing in getting signal, but then they open position after the current candle closes.
Not one I came across do the 2 TF tricks, hence I ask if MQL5 allow to do such 2 TF thing, or you could code it. I know many traders doing that trick manually. But if someone could show me an EA coded using these 2 Time Frames, I would like to see one proper if it really does better disciplined and efficient than a human trader placing traders

would you pls help us write one?

No, you misunderstood me. Or maybe the way I express is a little awkward/unclear. The idea is not new and not invented, what I mean is hardly anyone thought of put it into coding in one EA, so we can use it...

that trader trick, or OTE, MTF trading, aims to optimize a trade, more sniper wise you could missing trade, but your risk is smaller if you catch the trade often the RR is better than 1.5 trader flock into ICT, SMC aiming to optimize the trading less risk and aim for better profiting.

Even one can do that trick day in day out, The problem is the human brain, stress, physic and discipline, a coded EA would do that trader trick's technique cleaner, faster, consistent, emotionless,... "You are going to Profit more than You Lose"?! I hope one coder would invest time to code a proper EA doing that manual 2 TF trick. We must see forwards testing, I never have run one of such EA before, but sure that EA would does and check 1000x faster than me, and mechanically perfect not like me often I make easily mistake trading what i want to see not what I see.

So in the worse scenario the EA would always lose less then I would lose

Maybe there is a coded EA in over 500$ or 1000$ range so I have not seen that trick done by an EA before. or if you know one pls kindly share a link I would like to test it out

Pls implement that trader trick in one EA so we commonly can use it.

I checked, and it works.
However, it can't work if the number of pixels is larger than your chart height pixels.
Also, it can give strange results when there are other subwindows above this one.
On my monitor, I am able to get it up to 900 pixels in height:

Maybe you were just unlucky?
There is no limitation or problem in EA trading by 2 -3, or even by all default Tf's in MQL4/5.
You just need to provide precise Entry and Exit conditions, and an EA can be created in both MQL4 and MQL5.

A quick google search and here is an example (posted in 2009...):

you open my eyes !!!! i did not know the right key words to search for such EA like a professional coder like you who know what idea is there implemented already or not .... and the author also provided a open source code. Amazing. i will get into study it. Thank you very much for your help,

To create an EA which only looks at the Step MA Crosses is a very easy task.

Looking at your poor photo of your monitor screen, I can see no logic in what your son was trying to create.
I can see that it's a photo of XAUUSD H1 in MT4 Strategy Tester visual mode.
You have not provided anything.
It would have been easier to just post the mq4 file of the EA which your son created, and then it would be clear.

So, please post the EA in mq4, and then we can see.

PS. I won't comment on why you made a photo of the screen instead of posting a screenshot???

PPS. Looking at charts, I don't see how the VQ indicator is any better than the Step MA???
I see many contradicting VQ signals, when the Step MA shows no change in direction, no Cross.
However, as with any MA's, there are trends and there are sideways markets.
Making profit in trends is no problem.
Making profit in sideways market is a big problem.
You will see many MA Crosses, but the price will not trend, and then you will lose the profits.
VQ isn't going to help you solve this problem.
Some OBOS indicator might be a good solution to filter better opportunities.
